Description:

MSBT is designed to be an extremely lightweight, efficient, and highly configurable mod that makes it easier to see combat information by scrolling the information on the screen in separate, dynamically creatable scroll areas. It is a replacement for Blizzard's Floating Combat Text and Damage output.

Features:

  • Lightweight and efficient design.
  • Scroll incoming damage/heals, outgoing damage/heals, and notifications in separate configurable scroll areas on the playing field.
  • Display player and pet cooldown completion alerts.
  • Display loot alerts with a total of how many are now in inventory.
  • Add triggers that will allow you to show notifications based on a variety of conditions.
  • Assign a sound file to play for events/triggers.
  • Dynamically create new scroll areas and assign any event/trigger to them.
  • Customize the position, size, animation style, enabled state, font style, font size, font outline, and opacity for each of the scroll areas.
  • Customize each individual event's color, font style, font size, font outline, opacity, output message, enabled state, and scroll area.

  • Color unit names according to their class.
  • Color damage amounts according to damage type.
  • Show partial effects (resists, absorbs, vulnerabilities, etc) colored according to type.
  • Filter output information with a full suite of spam controls.
  • Load on demand options.

    • Output your own scrolling messages with the MikSBT.DisplayMessage function instead of having to create your own frame and animation code. You can also use your own font by first registering it with MSBT via the MikSBT.RegisterFont function.

    I believe it's this addon doing it, but I'm not positive. I've noticed that when I get a killing blow on something, the name of what I've killed stops at the first dash in the name. Can you confirm this?

    Basicually when I single target heal someone it says something like 63,423 (Playername) which is fine. However when I aoe heal and hits many targets it says something like 45,442 (Multiple) [6Hits,1 Crit], the (Multiple) part is unnecessary and I would like to remove it but the only way it seems to do that is to remove names. But then when I single target heal I wont see who I heal aswell so that's not a good solution.

    So I would like to show names when I single target heal, but hide them when I aoe heal.. Is that possible?

    Another issue I have is that I dont want to see who and what heals me, I just want to see the actual healing I recieve and not that X player healed you with Y spell.

    I recently got the item called "Ancient Pandaren Fishing Charm" in wow.  Its a use item that sits in your bags that you apply to yourself that lasts an hour and gives you a buff.  The buff is named the same as the item.  I am trying to set up a combat text warning for when I lose the buff to be notified, but it doesnt seem to work.  I've tried lots of various settings and researched, even read through the addons help file.  Seems like I am doing things right but when I lose the buff its not alerting me with combat text.  My thinking is the problem is because its an item not being reconized by this addon?  Here is what I have it set as, hope you guys can help...

    Trigger Class - Hunter

    Main Event - Aura Removal - 2 Conditions

    Condition 1 - Recipent Unit Affiliation - Is Equal To - You

    Condition 2 - Skill Name - Is Equal To - Ancient Pandaren Fishing Charm

    also tried Condition 2 - Skill ID - Is Equal To - 125167, which is the "buff id" not the "item id" from wowhead.com, still nothing.

    It has been already a month after mop release, and still many of monks icons are not as they should be. Green boxes, other classes icons etc. :(

    I have it set up so that when I get a killing blow there is a notification on the screen. Since MOP only about 75% of the time when I get a killing blow do I get the notification

    Is there any possible way to configure Miks to play a sound when standing in an (AoE<DoT>), for instance, earthquake, fire, voids, ect. ect. I thought it might be considered enviromental damage, thats only when your standing in a WoW campfire.

    The problem is alot of the time no wwhen your standing in an AoE, it will not even show a debuff on your toon, of course you know your taking damage so you move out.

    Id like to set up Miks somehow where anytime im standing in an AoE<DoT> I get a buzz in my ear.

    I know how to add a sound to an incoming damage effect, but theres just no option for the type of effect im trying to add, which is an AOE DoT thats under your feet, in raids, or, even when your just out doing dailies.

     

    Is it possible to add that effect to the list so I can then enable sound on it? If so, how?

    Any help would be appreciated, thx.

    The problem with GTFO is that it only works in raids/groups. + it has built in sounds, it just isnt quite what im looking for. It would be much better if Miks would implement a new source of damage for AoE DoT, would be a good addition to the program. 

    yeah, I tried GTFO, didnt like that addon, felt cheap.
