Description:

MSBT is designed to be an extremely lightweight, efficient, and highly configurable mod that makes it easier to see combat information by scrolling the information on the screen in separate, dynamically creatable scroll areas. It is a replacement for Blizzard's Floating Combat Text and Damage output.

Features:

  • Lightweight and efficient design.
  • Scroll incoming damage/heals, outgoing damage/heals, and notifications in separate configurable scroll areas on the playing field.
  • Display player and pet cooldown completion alerts.
  • Display loot alerts with a total of how many are now in inventory.
  • Add triggers that will allow you to show notifications based on a variety of conditions.
  • Assign a sound file to play for events/triggers.
  • Dynamically create new scroll areas and assign any event/trigger to them.
  • Customize the position, size, animation style, enabled state, font style, font size, font outline, and opacity for each of the scroll areas.
  • Customize each individual event's color, font style, font size, font outline, opacity, output message, enabled state, and scroll area.
  • Set "Master Font" settings that will be inherited by all of the scroll areas and the events in them unless they are overridden at the scroll area or event level.
  • Merge AoE data into one event with cumulative damage/healing done with number of normal and crits specified.
  • Show overhealing amounts against yourself or party/raid members.
  • Color unit names according to their class.
  • Color damage amounts according to damage type.
  • Show partial effects (resists, absorbs, vulnerabilities, etc) colored according to type.
  • Filter output information with a full suite of spam controls.

    I just tested it and it's working fine for me. Make sure you don't have the appropriate events disabled. You could always try to reset your profile too. If none of that works, send me a PM with your client language and I'll work with you further.

    Just i've got a prob, when i put a dot or cast a bolt, it doesn't display spell damage so all incoming or outgoing is activate.

    No, you wouldn't be able to do that with this mod.

    Solitude:

    Notifications to the same one where you outgoing damage is to get them in the same frame. There isn't a way to add the damage directly to the message however.

    Hi

    Is it possible to have the dommage done by an Extra Attack in same frame than the message ? Or better The dammage of the attak + the dammage of the extra attak ?

    Hi Mikk, I havent tried out this mod yet but am gonna give it a try tonight for one reason only. I'm looking for a mod that will give an audio alert when the 'Hunter's Mark' is 10 seconds from releasing from a mob. Will this mod be able to do that??

    I believe there is a combat message when his bubble drops. If there is, then you you'd just need to follow the instructions in the readme for creating a search pattern trigger (one of the FAQs covers it).

    Amz:

    Make sure that the two folders are directly under the Addons folder. Depending on what you used to unzip it, the program will sometimes create a folder with the same name as the zip and then put the contents under it. Failing that, you might want to download it again to make sure the download wasn't corrupted somehow.

    Ultronis:

    Make sure you don't have sounds disabled in WoW or MSBT. Also verify you have the extension as well when you enter the file name (LowMana.mp3 for example). Depending on your platform it could be case sensitive too.

    Hello, I'm just wondering, when I try to add a sound file to play when a certain trigger happens it doesn't seem to play for some reason. I've restarted WoW multiple times to try to get it to work but nothing. Also I tried using the original sound files supplied with it but they have stopped working as well. Is there something I have to enable within the trigger or the actual mod to allow soundfiles to be played?

    If KTM has already outputs messages, it should be a simple matter of calling the MikSBT.DisplayMessage function from within KTM's code.

    Only thing I can suggest is that you make sure the syntax is correct, the font exists and is in the right directory, and that you have completely exit WoW.

    No. I'm pretty sure there are mods for that specific purpose though. Maybe Good Damage Font would be one of them?

    ^ means anchored to the start, and $ means anchored to the end. For example if you were looking for ab, "^ab" would match abc12, but not 12abc.

    .* means any character 0 or more times and .+ means any character 1 or more times. For example "gets hit for 15 .*damage" would match both "gets hit for 15 Nature damage" and "gets hit for 15 damage" since the .* said some characters could be there or not (0 or more times).

    MSBT's included readme has the complete reference to lua search patterns in it.
