    You have another addon messing with the calendar button.  I see this comment a lot.  I don't do anything with the button unless you select the checkmark to hide it.  All unchecking the hide calendar button does is to show the button.  No matter who hid it.  :)

  • #1229

    It's usually addons that change your minimap.

  • #1228

    Hmm, any idea what sort of addon might be hiding it? I'm at a loss to think of anything I have that is related to the calendar in any way. Thanks a ton for the mists update, by the way! I felt icky having icons around my map again.

    I am a user of both SexyMap and Minimap Button Frame, and last night the dungeon difficulty of my Dragon Soul raid was gathered and placed with the buttons in the button frame.

    I am glad to know that a fix for the border is coming soon, but I felt that I needed to aknowledge that the addon is gathering more than just the background of Sexy Map.

    Thank you for keeping up a great addon. I would hate to not have it.

    Hello dear SexyMap & MBF users! As of the latest version you may have noticed that MBF is stealing the border from SexyMap when a specific preset is used (one with a backdrop). This is actually a MBF flaw and can be fixed in 2 ways:

    No1: Scroll down to line 699 in MinimapButtonFrame.lua, you will see a list of words there, add "SexyMapCustomBackdrop" to the list of words.

    No2 (better option): Scroll down to line 1311 and you should see this code:

    if (isValidAdd(child, true)) then

    Replace it with this code:

    local w = child:GetWidth()

    if (isValidAdd(child, true)) and w > 20 and w < 40 then

    The 2nd option is better because it will work with all addons, I've contacted the author to implement this.

    lol I'd been planning on adding that for a while.  Just got involved with checking things worked for the beta.

    I'll update things soon.

    I hope. :)

    Thanks Funky!

    It was driving me crazy and fix #2 worked perfectly!

  • #1220

    Option no2 will fix similar issues with other addons including the issue 2 posts below mine!

    So after about 2/3 years without MBF, I decided that I needed it again. Oh how I have missed having all my buttons in a neat little box and not scattered around my minimap.

    Thanks for keeping up such an amazing addon, and I dont think I will ever get rid of it again.

    I have used MBF for a long time, and I use the LUI complete interface.

    I recently came back to the game after taking a year off....I have updated everything to the newest versions btw.

    But MBF collects LUI's minimap border and puts a black square around the MBF.

    How can I remove this?

    I contacted LUI's current authors and they suggested to add an exception to MBF but that didn't work.

    Any thoughts?

    Here is a picture: [IMG][/IMG]

  • #1213

    Yeah an exception is the way to go with that.  You just have to find out exactly what the name of the black square is.  If that still doesn't work then there is probably a conflict with it's name.  If you know the name let me know what it is and I'll tell you if there is a conflict with it.

  • #1218

    Having the same issue as above, pic looks the same and everything. I can add an exception but I have no idea what the box is named.. any ideas?

    edit: downloaded through curse the latest sexymap update earlier.. something isn't jiving

    Yeah that one will require a tiny little edit on my part.  I'll try and get it updated and uploaded to the site within the next week.

    And another LUI admin told me there minimap is linked to MinimapCluster if that helps.

    I tried adding both to MBF exception but they didn't help.

    I can't seem to get my PvP icon to show. Not sure if I did this right. Used /fstack to get the name of the icon (MiniMapBattlefieldFrame) and used /mbf add MiniMapBattlefieldFrame, but it says it can't add it because it's protected or already included. It's not listed on the Protected or Override drop-down lists.

    Without that PvP button, if I accidentally queue for the wrong battleground, I have no known way to leave the current queue. I have to wait for it to pop, refuse to join, then requeue for the correct one.
