This is because they don't have names so the addon can't reference them here is the answer from the Enchantrix maker:
"Its intentional, you see when a frame is named, its name is not only used for the :GetName() function, but is also added to the global name space as a reference to that frame. This is not a desirable thing when you're going for speed and cleanliness of code. What AddOns that need references to those frames could do is offer a global table that minimap button-generating AddOns could add a reference to. That would solve the problem without polluting the global name space more than it needs to be."

I have the same problem and have just raised a ticket on curseforge to see if Bachlott would have a go at this fix! ;-)

Okay let me see if I can help with this bug. After logging in and such, and my UI loads up. I have the MBF on hide, but when my UI loads up the little tab that says "MFB" is showing (Mind you I have it on hidden). Now when I click my mini map button I have set up to open the tab my icons go all over my mini map and are not in the tab as it should be. I would ave to click it about 5-7 times before the tab snaps all of the buttons back into it and the "MFB" tab disappears. Sometimes that doesn't even work and I need to click in the box for it to spaz out and then bring the buttons in again.

If this doesn't make any sense I can provide screen shots step by step.

MBF has a delay built into it before it hides itself the first time. This is because not all addons load and place their button onto the minimap as soon as WoW loads up. You can see this sometimes when you have MBF hidden to start and then show the frame. All the buttons look like they're still on the minimap. Give it about 5 seconds and they should all jump over to their correct place.

Okay so I'm having a slight problem when i have the addon on all my mini map buttons calender zoom etc... end up BESIDE my MBF frame and i don't even have those as choosing to collect i want those on my mini map and i cant seem to get them back up there what should i do (also i have no other mini map addons)

I'll need more info to help you out. What other addons are you using.

I am having the same problem. Using sexy map and all buttons seem to work fine except that the calendar and the two minimap zoom buttons get pushed over to the side, outside the actual MBF. I can drag these buttons over to the minimap but they are collected in a couple seconds. I cannot remove them, as MBF states they are outside the frame. I added them to protected list but this does not help either. All these problems started after I changed the sorting to custom, and if I change the sorting back, it seems to work fine. I'd prefer custom sorting though. Thanks for your help!

You're problem is that something in Sexymap continually messes with the minimap buttons even when you tell Sexymap to leave them alone. If there are only a couple of Buttons acting up you can turn off Sexymap and set the buttons you want on Sexymap to be removed from MBF then turn Sexymap back on.

You'll have to provide more information as to what the problem is for me to be able to troubleshoot.

MBF isn't capturing -any- of my buttons at all, or they're all transparent or something?
    Need some help
  • #993
Are you using a minimap addon that can conflict if not set up correctly. A few other also have setttings that can conflict.

I'm a new user of this add-on and am not sure if I'm not using it right but

1 Not sure if the author, or users of this add-on can help me figure out how to get it to work with mappy. I can get all of the other add-on minimap buttons added to MBF but I cannot get the bliz buttons into it. Just want to know what settings in mappy need to be changed, and how to set MBF for it to work. Do I have to disable mappy, and then set MBF up before reloading mappy? Everything I have tried has ended up into total disaster.

    2. Also again I'm not sure if I'm using this add-on right, or if I'm just reading the settings wrong or what. I see an option to move all of the bliz buttons into MBF. And then a bunch of options to hide specific ones while they are in (or attached to) MBF. But all I want is specific ones in MBF and the others stay on the minimap. Like I want the calender/clock, and the zoom buttons to stay on the minimap. While the others in MBF. Can this be done?
