About Minutiae (Automation)
An Ace3 mod to automate some of the more tedious tasks in WoW. Inspired by the Ace2 mod Automaton, by weab and gxxam. Minutiae is written from the ground up using Ace3, however, the ideas behind some of the functions it automates, such as auto-releasing your spirit in battlegrounds, are genius, and I never would have thought to automate them on my own. All credit for the basic ideas behind each automation should go to the Automaton authors.
Currently Minutiae has the following functions (with the ability to toggle each):
- Repairs your gear, attempting first to use guild funds.
- Sells junk items.
- Releases your spirit when you die in a battleground.
- Accepts quests and has limited turn-in capacity.
- Accepts invites from friends and guild members.
- Declines incoming duel requests.
- Skips the BOP confirmation when looting.
- Declines guild invites and petition requests.
- Accepts resurrects.
- Accepts summons (untested).
- Skips gossip (needs more testing).
- Turns on nameplates in combat.
To Do List:
- Add more customization options (i.e. exclusion and inclusion lists for junk selling, etc.)
- Fix weird quirks with auto-repair (sometimes thinking you can guild repair when you can't, etc.)
- Add options for delays to things like summons, resurrects, invites, etc.

- Dry-coded a lot of changes that SHOULD resolve all outstanding tickets.
- Slightly improve memory usage.
- Invite module no longer uses /who calls, instead using recursive guild roster checks.
- Summon module should now hide the popup.
- Resurrect module should now hide the popup.

Will this be updated? Small problem with the auto-accept invite - the group inv is accepted by guildies, but they get the accept/refuse box displayed on screen after the auto-accept occured :S
Thanks a bunch for the update, Insomniax. I considered Automaton mandatory for WoW, and have tweaked my copy over the years to work despite the patches. I considered an Ace3 port but felt I didn't have the skills necessary to complete it.
Been using Minutiae now for a couple of months and have been very pleased with it.
I saw the changelog for the new version released today and wondered if you had been notified about the bug that prevents quest text from showing up when you use the instant quest accept option. I will check to see if it is fixed for me in the new version.
Edit: It is not fixed. The bug occurs when you accept a quest with instant accept, then open your quest log and look at it, then open your map and go to the area where the map would display the quest, then close the map and reopen the quest log.

Edit 2: To fix the bug (without a coding change), you can close the log, change the map zone to something other than the one with the quest, and then open it again.
Hmmm, I'll have to look into that. I'd noticed that bug, and just never realized it was from my own mod!
I COMPLETELY agree. Our GM had to make a post on using guild funds for repairs because it's killing our raid funds so badly. Only problem is, I cant' turn it off!! Well, unless I disable Minutiae...but of course that's nto an option :)
A couple things regarding that though. Any plans to add the "summon accept" functionality that Automaton had? Only it among mods like this has that functionality, and it still works fine (last WowAce alpha version put out after Cata: v1.3.10-1-gc3c7eff). Automaton is one of the last mods am using here with Ace2 and I can't do without that functionality, so can't move from it yet. I'm sure some other people are the same.
Also, any plans to add timer delay options for a couple of the features instead of just on/off? As in the res accept & auto-party-join features. Automaton provided an adjustable delay for the res accepts as well as a couple of other qualifiers. Also provided a static delay option for accepting party invites.
As to the auto-quest-gossip-skip feature Automaton had, there are current mods that can do that. One you may want to look at for info on how to add it to this: Sick of Clicking Dailies (http://www.wowace.com/addons/sick-of-clicking-dailies/).
Any chance to get a option to disable repair using guild funds ?
I want to always use my own funds.
Except this point, your addon is great :)
Thanks for it !
IF user has permission to repair with guild funds AND guild bank has sufficient funds THEN repair with guild bank money ELSE repair with own money
I.E. simple copy & pasting of many many of Automation's functions into new LUAs with Ace3 hooks/libs instead of Ace2.
One of the things that I noticed STILL WORKS in Automaton is Auto-accepting of summons and resing with the Res customization options also still working so I'm currently working on importing them into your addon. I'd love to help out with this if you have a POC (Point of Contact) email please private message me with it.
