Sounds like something's in front of MonkeyQuest, either something blizzard, or some other mod.

As for the '+' symbol for elite quests and a 'd' for dungeon quests. Well, that's broken in other languages until I get a translation for 'Dungeon'

  • #243

Making the tooltip update when MonkeyQuest is closed is on my list.

  • #242

Are you going to make it so that the tooltip can be updated without the monkeyquest window being opened? (the tooltip with a creature mouseover is the one I am talking about)

  • #241

Ok, I got it. Well, another problem cames up with the new patch for WoW that was released in Europe today. It looks like something is going to overlay monkeyquest and so its impossible to click on headers or get tooltips. ANother interessting thing is the fact that MQ do not any + symbol next to the levels of an Elite quest (In Germany they now call it Dungeon instead of Elite). Any suggestion?

  • #240

Ah. That would certainly explain it. The things I was looking at were Quest Items. Thanks for the reply!

  • #239

I know what you mean. Unfortunately I don't think I'll add that option simply because there are so many options and conditions for showing and hidding stuff that it's already confusing enough.

  • #238

I think the option is probably working for you. The problem is it doesn't actually do show anything until you mouse over a Quest Target you need to kill or if you mouse over an item in your bag that you need for a quest but it isn't a "Quest Item." When those conditions are met it should look like the new screens I put up here.

  • #237

This command didn't do anything for me. It's not a huge deal, but I thought it would be cool to see. I prefer to not have to look everywhere for information. Could other addins be preventing this? I am using Gypsy and Movable Bags. Some other's but nothing that I would think could interfere with this. Any ideas?

  • #236

First of all: You rock! MonkeyQuest rocks!

Enough said. Ok, here the little suggestion: YOu should make an Option, that allows the areas even when hidding hiden items. YOu got what I mean. For example: I have several quests in Ashenvale, Dun Morogh, Daunassus and Gnomeregan and I want only the Ashenvale quests shown, I select that area and rest is only area headers. Well, problem here is: When I activate hiding the other area headers are hidden too and thats something I don?'t want to. SO I have to run across the map with hidden stuff shown on.

I hope you got what I mean, my English is not that perfect.

    Greets from Germany.

  • #235

Thanks for the bug report, I would have missed that one for sure.

It turns out that's not easy to fix since hidden frames don't get events... I'll try and work something out with an invisible frame.

  • #234

Tooltips do not update if MonkeyQuest is "closed". I close/open MoneyQuest because I prefer it to be hidden away completely unlike minimize. Is there any chance the tooltip displays could continue to update like this?

  • #233

You can use this page here on curse to look for the latest (and sometimes unstable) version of MonkeyQuest. From now on my official site will probably only host the latest 'stable' version. I should also start naming versions with beta or stable.

So what does it take to be considered stable? A day or two of no new serious bug reports :)

I decided on this new release setup because Curse hosts all the versions I've ever put up, so if a new version bombs you can always go back. Also Curse is the easiest by far to update on. And finally, the users here are more forgiving of bugs and quick to post feedback on them.

  • #232

Trentin - this version is newer than on the "Homepage" - should we use this as the new "official" page for this mod?

  • #231

    Hi !

The french localization is now up to date, you could find my latest translations here :

    http://www.jukiller.org/ModsWoW/MonkeyQuest_v1.4.3_TradFRByJuki.zip

    Cya :p !

  • #230

The only feature I didn't test on the beta servers was the new tooltip.

Getting rid of cosmos can be tricky and usually leaves stuff behind that breaks other mods. If worse comes to worse and you don't mind losing all your settings you can delete your WDB, WTF and Interface folders for a squeaky clean fresh start.
