  • Displays the quest level in the quest title.
  • Elite quests display a ' ' in the level of the quest.
  • Completed quests show a '(Completed)' in the quest title.

  • Close and minimize buttons.
  • Quest objective coloring.
  • Quest objective coloring for special 'friendly/hostile' type objectives.

  • Option to turn off right-click to open MonkeyBuddy.
  • Option to hide the title buttons.
  • Quest Items now show up in tooltips. Mousing over targets you need for quests will show 'Quest Item XX/YY' in the tooltip. Same for items you need for quests.

(** Currently doesn't update if MonkeyQuest is closed or minimized **)

  • Dungeon quests display a 'd' in the level of the quest.
  • Raid quests display an 'r' in the level of the quest.
  • Party members show up in the quest overview tooltip. If they have that quest they'll be displayed in the 100% objective color.

Each time I logout/login, the monkey quest window gets reset to it's original state, losing it's position and all it's options. Any idea how to save it's state? I've tried /mquest lock already. I've noticed other addons having similar placement and orientation issues since the patch.

  • #251

Heh, I think I can live with that ;)

    Thanks for your answer /bow

  • #250

The tooltip anchor is a tough best to tame and I don't think I'll be revisiting it any time soon. Right now it supports all the blizzard parameters you can use to anchor the tooltip.

    I'll consider the [ ]'s.

  • #249

If the only thing stopping you from using MonkeyBuddy is the icon, then you should install MonkeyBuddy and use the slash command to hide the icon:

/mbdismiss Sends the MonkeyBuddy icon away :(

Then you can just access the config window by right clicking the MonkeyQuest title or through the myAddOns menu.

  • #248

I'm just wondering if it's possible to add one more option for tipanchor thing. I put the MonkeyQuest Frame on the top of my screen and I want to use tipanchor=ANCHOR_CURSOR, but the tooltip go out of the screen for the firsts quests cause the tooltip is shown on the top of mouse cursor. I don't know if it's possible, but a ANCHOR_CURSORUP and ANCHOR_CURSORDOWN options would been nice ^^

And if you can add some [ ], ( ) or something like that for the number of quests, I guess it'll more visible (like "MonkeyQuest [15/20]").

Well, I don't read all the 25 pages, so my apologies if those things were already posted.

Anyways, thanks for your work Trentin, this mod is awesome ! :)

  • #247

I cant seem to get monkeyquest to show the quests? Is there anything I'm doing wrong?

  • #246

Is it possible that MonkeyQuest standalone could support myAddons instead of having to use MonkeyBuddy (which I don't want to use) to make the connection?

  • #245

this IS a nice addon, and it works perfectly for me. I like that I can hide border and background, and change the width of it all. As well as the rest of the configurable things - I like having the possibility to fit it into my UI just as I want it. Great job!

  • #244

Sounds like something's in front of MonkeyQuest, either something blizzard, or some other mod.

As for the '+' symbol for elite quests and a 'd' for dungeon quests. Well, that's broken in other languages until I get a translation for 'Dungeon'

  • #243

Making the tooltip update when MonkeyQuest is closed is on my list.

  • #242

Are you going to make it so that the tooltip can be updated without the monkeyquest window being opened? (the tooltip with a creature mouseover is the one I am talking about)

  • #241

Ok, I got it. Well, another problem cames up with the new patch for WoW that was released in Europe today. It looks like something is going to overlay monkeyquest and so its impossible to click on headers or get tooltips. ANother interessting thing is the fact that MQ do not any + symbol next to the levels of an Elite quest (In Germany they now call it Dungeon instead of Elite). Any suggestion?

  • #240

Ah. That would certainly explain it. The things I was looking at were Quest Items. Thanks for the reply!

  • #239

I know what you mean. Unfortunately I don't think I'll add that option simply because there are so many options and conditions for showing and hidding stuff that it's already confusing enough.

  • #238

I think the option is probably working for you. The problem is it doesn't actually do show anything until you mouse over a Quest Target you need to kill or if you mouse over an item in your bag that you need for a quest but it isn't a "Quest Item." When those conditions are met it should look like the new screens I put up here.
