About Multishot (Screenshot)
Multishot
Multishot is a tiny addon that automatically takes screenshots of memorable events in your World of Warcraft career. It's a photo diary of everything you come across in Azeroth, Outland and Northend.
Features & screenshot possibilities
- level-ups and guild level-ups
- achievements and guild achievements
- reputation changes
- trade window transactions
- any rare/rare-elite mob kills
How to use
Just play as usual and Multishot will be waiting. By the way: you can take screenshots any time you like by pressing the PRINT key. Captures will most likely be located in C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\Screenshots.Configuration
via Interface > Addons > Multishot or type /multishot into the chat window.Updates
You will have to update Multishot every once in a while. Blizzard constantly adds, removes or updates mobs. Multishot would not be aware of these changes otherwise.Troubleshooting
Multishot might not work as expected after new content patch has been released: every now and then "false positives" will sneak into the database. Those can easily be spotted in debug mode. Please drop me a line so that I can blacklist them as soon as possible.Localization
Multishot works on all locales and supports localization. Please help translating if you can. Thanks!Development

I was wondering if a functionality might be added. I love the idea of taking screenshots of important/awesome events, like leveling up, killing bosses, earning achievements etc.
But would it be possible, to add a timebased function, that take, say, a screenshot every 20 (variable) minutes, if no prior screenshot event have occured?
Eg. I run around and do whatever, earning no achivements nor dungeon bosskills, but it will still take a screenshot every 10-60 mintes, after the last screenshot taken.
The reason I ask, is that I used to have an old addon 4-5 years ago, that did exactly this. It would take some pretty random screenshots, with nothing really going on, but it was still a funny, although stochastic glimpse into my WoW gaming experience.
I find myself here many years later browsing through screenshots (I have thousands that were taken this way), and I recognize random people, wipes, worldpvp, profession farming runs, and all the other silly stuff that I kinda forgot.
Thanks,
the nostalgic WoW player
Yes, this is a great idea. How would you like to enable/disable it? Multishot has no visible UI elements. There is no button for stuff like that. Or would it be more like a permanent setting? That could get pretty annoying? Others already complained that Multishot takes too many screenshots.
It should work now, same link

That looks great! Fantastic work! Unfortunatelly your link is broken 404 not found. Could you upload it again or sent it via private message please? Thanks!
Hey, thanks for your reply. When you asked about how to enable/disable the feature, I went ahead and did some thoughts on it.
I ended up making an actual implementation into multishot, that I have been using today. I can't say its completely done, but it should include the feature.
I call it timeline, and it includes a sliding option from 5 to 120 minutes, 5 minute intervals. It will then take a screenshot every xx minute of gameplay. If multishot takes any kind of screenshot from the selected options, the timeline duration will reset and count all over again.
I don't know how linking stuff here works, so ill hopefully not violate anything by linking to this:
http://maldera.dk/multishot_modified.zip
the changes are in config.lua (options), multishot.lua (in the bottom, createframe, quick and dirty getOptions and do countdown with onUpdate, and there are a few translated strings, but I only bothered with the enUS.lua).
Incidentally, I would quite like this as well.
I don't know how it is programmed, but perhaps tell it on start to note the first digit of the time, i.e. the minute, and then periodically check the time, if that digit is different a screen shot is taken.
I remember doing a similar think when I had programming in college...
Updated earlier today, and the addon stopped working.
Updated to 2.1.0 a few minutes ago, still not working.
Suggestions?
There have been some packaging troubles today. Please download again.
Amazing addon! I just wonder if you can configure so it print screen the score after BG's RBG's and Arena's?
thats a great idea! do you by chance know the corresponding event that i should subscribe to?
I love this addon, it works wonders. only one complaint and that is the "Hide UI" option doesnt actually hide UI. is there any way to resolve this?
i will look into this issue
this addon should satisfy all your needs then :)
thanks for this great addon
