About _NPCScan.Overlay.Broker

_NPCScan.Overlay.Broker

This add-on works with _NPCScan.Overlay and gives you a toggle button to show or hide it's Mini Map Overlay display.

Use with your LibDataBroker (LDB) tool of choice. I recommend Bazooka, but there are many to choose from.

Click: Toggles display of _NPCScan.Overlay's Mini Map layer.
CONTROL-Click: Toggle display of _NPCScan.Overlay's World Map layer.
Middle-Click: Toggle display of Both _NPCScan.Overlay's Mini & World Map layers
Right Click: Open _NPCScan.Overlay's Configuration Options.

    the box of names

    I just logged on yesterday after the patch5.3 updated, and i figured that the box with all the rare NPC's name was gone....so whats was that problem? Thx!

    I just installed this today, along with _NPCScan, _NPCScan.AutoAdd, and _NPCScan.Overlay and ran into an odd problem that would logically seem to be completely unrelated but ...

    After installing, I logged in my protection paladin, and eventually got into a fight with an elite mob. During the fight, I attempted to cast Consecration, and ... nothing happened. No matter how many times I hit my Consecration hotkey, I just got the "spell fail" sound. I made it through the fight, and afterward I looked at my action bar and noticed that my Consecration button was permanently lit up the way the buttons do when you activate them. Out of combat, I still couldn't cast Consecration.

    So since I had just installed the _NPCScan family of addons, I figured there might be a connection. Specifically with .Broker, since it's the only one I had never used before. I've used all the others together for a long time, but uninstalled them a while back while trying to resolve a performance issue. Reinstalled everything today, plus .Broker.

    So I logged out my paladin, disabled .Broker, and logged her back in. Presto, I can cast Consecration again. I'm not sure how this addon would affect that one spell (nothing else was affected), but there you go. For what it's worth, I have Consecration bound to my "9" key. Also, this paladin uses the Glyph of Consecration.

    Thanks for the report MisterRik.

    You tried other actions on your 9 key and they do work? Only Consecration bound to "9" key does not?

    How are you binding this to 9? just putting it on the blizzard action button 9, some other Bar mod?

    you must be running a LibDataBroker (LDB) mod to disply LibDataBroker (LDB) things. 

    "Use with your LibDataBroker (LDB) tool of choice."

    I use it with Bazooka, but there are many to suit differnt people.

    Okay, I guess I may have reported this issue too quickly. I went ahead and re-enabled this addon, and the Consecration issue didn't reoccur. It looks like it must have been a one-time glitch.

    That said, I should mention that I'm not actually seeing any kind of toggle button that the description says this addon adds (the button to toggle the minimap overlay), and I can't find where I'm supposed to enable it.

    please try this without 'Dominos' and also try moving the spell to a different keyy and see of the issue follows.

    I do not currently have a paladin of sufficent level to test Consecration, but perhaps i can find a friend to help replicate this...

    I didn't try other paladin abilities on the 9 key, but I logged in other characters of different classes and none of their abilities seemed to be affected - I looked at all of their different abilities, but also specifically checked the ones they had bound to the 9 key.

    I *do* use the Dominos action bar addon. Consecration is on ActionBar1, which is the default "main" action bar.

    downloaded today. At the character selection screen, under add-ons, WoW is saying there is a dependency missing. I can't tell what dependency it is. Even though I have it marked to load, I'm not able to see the overlay. Thanks

    Seems that the Curse Client Install issue as been resolved. Something to do with a server someplace. the direct Manual install link above always worked for me.

    CONTROL Click: show or hide World Map layer.
    Middle Click: Show or hide BOTH at once.

    curse client is having issues tonight with updating this one, for the moment, but you can download it directly from here.
