About OmniCC

Need help? Check the Guide!

Overview

OmniCC is an addon that adds text to items, spell and abilities that are on cooldown to indicate when they will be ready to use. In other words: it turns all the standard analogue cooldowns into digital ones.

Anything should work with OmniCC, from the action bars to the inventory, from the standard interface to your favorite add-on.

Is it even possible to move the text that comes up when something is off cooldown?
"Thunderclap ready now!" If yes; where the fuuuck?

  • #2194

Hi I use OmniCC with OPie, I noticed that whenever I open OPie now with OmniCC it doesn't show the numbers on it anymore. Instead it shows a blank area and the space left till the item is ready to be used? What is wrong with it? Is it the new blizzard UI?

OmniCC doesn't work anymore with 5.1 for me

    Hi,

I'm using omnicc since long. But with the new patch 5.1 it stopped working.
Also I can access the options pane only via the menu and no more via /omnicc.

I have deactivated all of my addons and tested it with only omnicc as addon and it still
doesn't work. I get no errors messages.

Has anybody else the same problem?
Has anbody found a solution for it?

  • #2187

Ok. Found the solution some messages further down. Deinstall the addon, then reinstall it and it works again.

Puh, I'm happy again. And I saw how much I like this addon. Thanks for it.

I have a feature request... could you please add the optional (if installed) support for wrapping the values from LibInternalCooldowns?

    http://www.curse.com/addons/wow/libinternalcooldowns-1-0

    http://www.wowace.com/addons/libinternalcooldowns-1-0/

while it may not be updated on curse, on wowace it is updated and it would be great to have those cooldowns wrapped on icons in actionbars!

thank you for your excellent addon

  • #2185

Could you please elaborate your request a little more? I was not able to understand what you are looking for with that library.

after looking at it closer, all i needed to do was add this to your .toc

    ## OptionalDeps: LibInternalCooldowns-1.0

The chat command does not seem to work.

Is there any way you can add in a feature so that instead of showing a cooldown timer, the number represents how many global cooldowns remain before the ability is ready?

For instance, imagine a spell that has a 9 second cooldown on a class that has a 1.5 second GCD.  With the current system, after using the ability a 9 will show up and start counting down every second.  Being able to have a timer for GCDs instead would show up as a 6 which would count down every 1.5 seconds.

This would be beneficial for those classes that have a high priority ability that they need to maintain.  "Ok, this high priority ability comes off cooldown in 2 GCDs which means I can use two more abilities before I have to use my high priority ability."

Only hard part I can see is that you would have to account for haste reductions of the GCD as some classes with a 1.5 second GCD can easily get it to 1.4 seconds and further.

Not sure this is important, but I see in my FrameXML.log this:
