About OPie

OPie is a radial action-binding addon: it lets you group actions into rings which appear when you hold down a keyboard or mouse binding. When you release the binding, OPie will perform an action based on where your mouse cursor is.

Use OPie to reduce the amount of clutter on your action bars: rings can contain your abilities, items, professions, battle pets, equipment sets, macros, and raid or world markers. Some rings for common class abilities and professions are included, as is a special quest items ring which automatically makes all of your quest and quest-starting items easily accessible. Other addons may add additional rings; for example, Spade uses OPie rings to let you chose the seeds you want to plant on your farm.

Download OPie today; configure to your liking (/opie), and customize your rings (/opie rings). For more details, see the OPie Guide, the screenshots on Curse, or a YouTube video of OPie in action.

Ring snapshots and tutorial/gameplay videos

You can create snapshots of your custom rings to share with other players; if you like, you can post them in the comments section on this page. Likewise, if you've created a video showing how you use OPie, I would very much like to hear about it.

You should restart World of Warcraft if updating from a pre-Nougat version.

    I cant get the slice option "use as quick action" to stick. Every time I exit the config menu it unchecks itself. The ring is bound to the middle mouse button and I want to beable to press and release it to go into cat form or hold and gesture up for bear form or hold gesture right for flight form. I've had this setup before and not being able to do it is killing me...dying from fall damage as fumble to find flight form is not cool :P

    Been away from the game for a bit and when I saw they way you revamped the add slice to ring interface I was blown away ! +1 and +2 to you good sir.

    I still don't seem to be able to get the quick action's to work.

    I have by desired ability with "Allow as quick action" checked but when I release the keybind nothing happens.  I have tried this with "Quick action at ring center" under Behavior checked and unchecked both with no luck.

    Am I missing something or is it still broken?

     

    EDIT:  Ok so I got it working...

    Seems I need to have "Per-slice bindings" checked under Behavior also.  However each time "Per-slice bindings" was rechecked, the "Allow as quick action" check box for the desired ability needed to be disabled, re-enabled and then updated before any of the settings would take effect.

    It's no wonder I was confused, so while I worked it out I ask, is this the intended  behaviour?  If so, it's quite confusing and I would suggest some more detail in to what's going on.

    I created one ring then added a 2nd ring for my tradeskills. When I point to my tradeskills, they show but how do I cycle thru them. I only get my JC skillset but can't rotate to mining, first aid, cooking, etc which are on the 2nd ring.

    haven't seen a response yet - how do I cycle thru a 2nd ring's icons when that 2nd ring is off the first ring?

    Scrolling is the mechanism that works for me. Mousewheel or two fingers on a Mac trackpad, usually. If that's not working specifically, then I hope you get that figured out.

    Yeah mouse wheel isn't scrolling through the 2nd ring.

    Mouse wheel scrolling should work. Depending on the sensitivity option in /opie options, you may have to scroll the wheel several notches before the ring rotates. Newer versions added additional bindings you could use to rotate nested rings; those can be set using /opie bind

    Is there any way to show/hide a slice depending on spec?
    My trinkets for both specs show up no matter what spec I am in.

    No, there's no easy way to show/hide slices depending on spec. [Though you could create a macro (in OPie) starting with a "#rkrequire {{spell:12345}}" line (no quotes), where 12345 is a spell ID of an ability you have only in one of your specs.]

    Using macros and your action bars will force left-click behavior: your action bar only runs the macro once, so OPie has no way of knowing when you press/release the action button.

    Your two-rings approach can work, though -- either create a separate OPie profile for one of the specs, or use bindings with [spec:1]/[spec:2] conditionals.

    Thanx Fox.
    But what I am really looking to do is get rid of my PvP trinket that shows up in every ring in all specs since it exists in my bag. Any way in the future to not show a slice depending on if it is equipped?

    A good work around for equipped trinkets is to make 2 macro slices (1 for each trinket slot)

    First macro: (call it Trinket 1)

    #showtooltip
    /use 13

    Second Macro: (call it Trinket 2)


    #showtooltip
    /use 14

    Bind those to 2 slices and don't change the icon or anything.

    Then when you call up that ring, then the icon will show whatever trinket you have equipped in the slots, together with the right cooldown, tooltip etc.

    It'd hard to do properly, unfortunately. In an ideal world, you'd be able to specify [macro] conditionals for each slice's visibility and have applied dynamically when you open the ring.

    File a ticket, I may get around to it eventually.
