About Outfitter
Reporting Bugs
Feel free to report bugs in the comments section at the bottom of this page, but please don't paste in your bug/crash logs. Those logs are very large since they usually include the list of every addon you're running and that makes the post take a huge amount of screen space in the comments section. That, in turn, makes it very difficult for me to find previous questions and bug reports. Crash dumps are great and extremely useful, but please post them into a CurseForge ticket and then refer to that ticket in your comment so I know where to find it. Thanks!

Comments
Just had a strange problem with outfitter i decided to get rid of ark inv and put in bagnon instead but when i opened up on my druid i had my tanking outfit on which was right but on my normal outfit which is feral dps it was saying that about half of my items were missing yet they are in my bag i know i can sort it out easy my end but when you have a lot of chars to do it on seems something i should let you know about
Sorry if this is not the right place to post that, but i kind of dont know how to do it, but I just went out of LFR and I got this one while in there.

I'm not sure what caused the error. Outfitter and Altoholic appear in the data section, but that's only because they have stored info or hooks on the tooltip. The call stack just shows two functions calls and both of them are Blizzard's built-in stuff.
Btw, is that the standard WoW error dump or are you using an addon for that? I like how compact it is.
Hi Outfitter devs and users!
Im a holy priest looking for a script for Outfitter, that equips Darkmooncard: Twisting Nether upon death(This is possible on the private server that i play on. The trinket will be equipped just between Spirit of Redemption and the attack triggering death).
Death is currently not listed under events and I therefore have to come up with a script for it, which I am not very good at.
I need this to work for patch 2.4.3.
Thanks a lot in advance!
Jens Nielsen
I've uploaded version 5.4.4 which fixes the problem with the Twin Peaks battleground and also localizes WSG properly so that should now work in other languages.
IMPORTANT: I had to add a new file (LibBabble-SubZone) and so you can NOT update Outfitter to this new version by simply doing a reload UI while the game is still running. The game won't load files added while it's still running and this will cause Outfitter to generate loads of errors and it will fail to work. Exit WoW completely before updating (or just exit and restart WoW if you already installed it while running and are having this problem).
Bug Report
Surprised nobody else has posted about this: in Twin Peaks, the Battleground set dequips itself in both the Alliance and Horde bases, but works fine outdoors.
I was actually coming to report this, but I didn't catch that it was only happening in the one BG. I did notice that I would randomly (I thought it was random) be in my PvE gear, which is really frustrating as a clothie because it takes no time to bring me down in PvE gear, aack!
Sounds like the bases report themselves as a different zone than the main area. Next time you're in either base, do this command:
/print GetZoneText()
and let me know what it says (and which base it's for). I can add the bases into the list of zones for that BG which will fix the script.
Thanks for your quick reply!
Alliance Base: Wildhammer Stronghold
Horde Base: Dragonmaw Stronghold
Bug? report:
If I log out in my "Around Town" outfit, but I'm not in a capital city, then when I log in again, I'm in my "Normal" outfit. Nothing wrong with that, of course, but here's the problem: my "Normal" outfit is retaining the display settings from my "Around Town" outfit.
In other words, my Around Town has the helm set to Display, but my Normal outfit is set to hide the helm. But when I log in, my Normal outfit is displaying my helm. I have to change outfits then go back to my Normal outfit, for it to correctly hide my helm.
Obviously this is not a huge problem, but I thought you might like to know.
My instinct is that this is being caused by Outfitter trying to set those options during login and the game engine isn't ready or willing to accept the settings yet. I'll try it out next time I'm working in Outfitter's code and see if I can find a solution (possibly by queuing those settings and applying them a couple seconds later).
Feature request: Complete outfits are gear in all slots. Allow complete outfits to also make the shirt and tabard optional. For example, modify code here,
File, OutfitterStrings.lua
File, OutfitterOutfits.lua
The problem with excluding the shirt and tabard isn't that it's difficult to modify the code to allow it, it's that it will cause problems with Outfitter's equipment engine.
Outfitter works by maintaining a stack of equipment and then determining the final outfit by compiling that stack. This is what gives Outfitter the ability to unequip an outfit -- unequipping is just popping an outfit off of the stack, which reveals the things that were worn before that outfit was equipped in the first place.
Outfitter relies on the Complete outfits in order to clear that stack so it doesn't grow indefinitely. My concern is that excluding the shirt and tabard could cause those slots to either misbehave during equip/unequip operations (because there wouldn't be an item for those slots anywhere in the outfit stack) or could cause the outfit stack to grow and consume too much memory.
I may be overly concerned though and this may work just fine. Over the years I've made changes to the engine to try to handle unfilled slots in the stack, but those changes haven't been well tested. Keep using your modification and let me know after a month or two if everything is still working just fine. If it is, I'll try adding an option to exclude those two slots from the Complete requirement.
OutfitterOutfits.lua line 429.
RenameEquipmentSet is now ModifyEquipmentSet.
Thanks, I'll get that corrected
