About Power Auras Classic v4 - MoP Version

Power Auras Classic v4 - MoP Version

Designed to give visual or audible cues to the user in response to in-game events, such as gaining buffs or debuffs. Types of cues range from simple texture displays to stack counters, timers to timer bars, and are fully user-configurable. Can be animated or have sounds attached as well.

If you upgraded to Power Auras 5, it is recommended that you remove it and restore your old WTF folder configuration files for PowerAuras if possible. If you did not upgrade to Power Auras 5, everything should work as normal.

The GTFO Addon will work with both Power Auras 4 and Power Auras 5 and no update is necessary.

Slash commands

  • "/pa" - Brings up the configuration menu.
  • "/powa" - Brings up the configuration menu.

What changed so far

  • The addon is fully updated for Mists of Pandaria, ids, spells, classes, power and instance types, api changes, etc.
  • Also the addon is going to properly work in older game clients too.
  • The addon's whole GUI menu got tweaked up, bugged parts are fixed.
  • Added new fonts, texture, sounds.
  • Fixed a lot of glitchy textures.
  • Recoded all texture to RLE loseless targa, which uses less memory. (When the addon show a texture, then the texture is going to stay compressed in the memory, the video card is going to decompress it, and it's going to stay uncompressed in the video card's cache.)
  • Added dropdowns to change the textures blend mode. (This function also replaces the removed "Glow" buttons functionality when set to "ADD".)
  • Added dropdowns to change the frame's and the texture's strata levels. (1 single texture can be placed on 8*20*4*15 = 9600 different strata levels.)
  • Added an option to use gradient colors for the texture, this function also works with the random color function properly.
  • Added an option to grayscale textures.
  • Added an option to display icons with rounded edges.
  • Added a function to rotate textures.
  • Every slider has an editbox now.
  • Every slider's value can be changed with mousewheel up/down, while the mouse is over a slider or it's editbox. (This function replaces the removed "-" and "+" buttons functionality.)
  • Cluthcy and bugged animations got fixed, their other parts got tweaked.
  • Added an option to show predefined, custom and custom unitid (player, target, focus, etc) type 3D Models from the game. This models can be animated, rotated, zoomed in/out, or moved inside of their frame, within all the other functions what textures has.
  • Sounds will be played when you test or hide and aura, if sound is assigned for that aura.

    For some reason an aura that is not part of Character A's set is showing up on screen all the time.  It's actually part of Character B's set.  In fact, Character C who has no PA's defined is ALSO getting it onscreen all the time.

    Any ideas how there could be this weird crossover?

    Ok, I have been trying to get an incombat aura for my target. It should only show if my target is in combat, not myself.

     

    For example:

    I'm watching someone else fight, but I'm not in the fight. I want to target them, and have an aura display to let me know that they are in fact in combat.

    I cant seem to get Power Auras to work with Snake Trap (either with trap launcher on or off). It might be because you technically have to use /cast ice trap instead of /cast snake trap to use it, as the snake trap is a glyph that changes ice trap? Any advice would be hugely appreciated

    Just got it to work. Used the Spell ID of ice trap "13809" and it seems to show snake trap.

    The cd of "Frappe de l'ouragan" (in french) dosen't work 

    may be it's because ti's a new spell, or it's me that i done something wrong (i've paste frome a spell with work and change the name) all spells are ok but not this one (talent lv 100)

    You could try to enter it as a spell id.

    /pa showbuffs, will list the buff ids on your target.

    Then you can use the /pa playertalents command to list spells from your spellbook with IDs.

    I'm having trouble on my druid with showing my rake and rip debuffs on an enemy target. Can someone give me a short tutorial? I feel like I have everything set correctly, but I could be missing something.

    Hello,

    Please increase the maximum number of Shadow Orbs under the Rage/Energy/Power Activation setting to 5. In WoD, the cap has increased similar to how the paladin Holy Power system works. Love your addon, has been a great help to me.

    Hi again, 

    It seems that the option "Cooldown Only" (that should make tha aura hidden when the spell is off cooldown) is not working propoerly for Action Usable auras. Whether or not the Cooldown box is checked doesn't seem to have any effect. Could you look into it please? thanks
