About Proxxy

Keeps track of buffs/debuffs/procs/cooldowns for all classes. Yep it's another one! Basically I'm rewriting Quartz:Procs from scratch and this will be the standalone addon. The difference is, Proxxy has better support for all types of buffs/procs. It will also work better for buffs/procs with stacks and it's more accurate with timers. The Quartz Mirror module was very restricted when it came to features I needed to expand this addon, so this is the result. Right now this addon is still tightly integrated with Quartz, and I suggest you still use Quartz with it. However, it will work without Quartz at the moment, but basically you can just move it around freely and that's it. Eventually, it will be able to attach to other frames (I'm currently thinking about the default cast frame for now).

* Procs and buff tracking for many abilities built in. (A list below) * Custom procs and buff tracking, you can literally add any buff or proc that shows up in your Buff List (the buffs next to your minimap) * Track never-ending buffs (such as Mote of Flame trinket proc [something that isn't possible with Quartz:Procs]) * Keep track of current and max charges... e.g. "Serendipity (1/3)" if you have 1 charge. * Internal cooldowns for things like Eclipse and Lock n Load *-> And all cooldowns will only start 5 secs before the buff/proc expires. And Eclipse will never show both cooldowns at once (it's unnecesarry and also makes it very cluttered) * Sounds for each buff/proc * Configuration to change the background color of each timer bar, depending on what color you set for the buff/proc

Procs and Buff List

idd, Blizzard may have its own Aura thingy, but this would be very very nice if it could work in 4.0.x :3

Love the addon too, and hoping for a working one for 4.0.1! :)

    Hey baffle,

I switched from Quartz: Procs to this a few weeks ago and have so far been enjoying it immensely. I have a lot of characters but use it primarily to watch Eclipse procs on my druid. Unfortunately, ever since 0.31, it's been causing some weird performance problems. I'm playing on a pretty low-end machine at the moment, so my frame rate is bad anyway, but any time I have Proxxy on, I start getting unexplained stutters at 1 fps and random lag spikes. In 0.31 I was getting warnings that it was causing a lot of LUA errors as well (see ikabod00's comment), but in 0.32 that seems to have been fixed. Disabling Proxxy entirely solves the performance problem, but I'm not sure what's causing it. There seems to be a correlation between the performance spikes and various timed procs (like Eclipse) getting stuck at 't seen any comments from people experiencing similar problems, but I'd have no way of knowing which one aside from disabling them all one at a time. Do you know of any mods that conflict with Proxxy, or have you encountered problems like this before? Otherwise, I'll just keep messing around with it and keep an eye out for an update.

    Thanks, baffle.

Alright, found out it was an error afterall. Not sure how I missed that one :P

It was a bug with the cooldowns. I got it fixed in 0.33-beta. Let me know if you get better performance from this new version (you should, since the error was most likely causing it).

Display Lua Errors, make sure it's checked.
  • #32
Downloading the update now. I'll let you know how it goes.
  • #33
Seems to be running much better now. The LUA errors and performance problems are gone. I noticed a Huger for Blood timer get stuck at ~20 sec remaining a couple times yesterday, but it only happened once or twice since the update.
  • #34
I can't seem to get HfB to get stuck... you have error reporting on? I would need to see the error that's causing that in order to fix it.
  • #25
I had like 1 little typo that was causing a problem :P

Everything should be working in 0.32-beta now

    Thanks a bunch!
As i have no idea how to spot typos in addons, im very happy that some people do know it! :)
I do love the addon, sleek and lets you stack what you want to see in a very good and handy place on the screen. Will update to it and fiddle with it some later today.

Is there any chance that the personal custom-procs gets saved at updates?
i think they have been reset at each update so far (?), and also did so when downgrading to a previous version once.
  • #27
tried it, custom procs were saved when updating. :)
  • #28
Cool, well I know at one point the addon switched from being a big clunky thing, to a module type addon. This makes it easier for me to add features to it (and for users to disable features they dont want). When I switched to the module support, it also switched where the custom procs were saved, so that's probably why they got lost.

That shouldn't be a problem again, with all the updates from here on out.

Seem to be getting this now, after .31, every time a proc with a time comes up. And it stays up until the timer is done. Happened in a raid.
