About Quartz

Quartz is a modular approach to a casting bar addon. An overview of (hopefully most of) the modules:

The core of Quartz is lightweight implementation of a standard casting bar, with configurable size, text and icon positioning, and colors.

Implementation of target and focus casting bars in similar fashion to the player cast bar.

Display of target and focus buffs and debuffs as duration bars using the new API introduced in patch 2.1.

Hooks into FlightMap or InFlight to display the current flight progress on your casting bar.

*Global Cooldown

Displays a tiny spark-bar to show your Global Cooldown near the cast bar. Helpful for those who'd rather not squint at their action bars to see when they can cast again.

Changes the color and text of your casting bar to help show that your cast has been interrupted (and show who interrupted it).

Displays the amount of time spent between cast send and start events, in the form of a bar at the end of your casting bar, with optional text that displays the actual duration of the lag. This helps in canceling casts when they will not actually be interrupted, especially for users with consistently high pings.

Shows the 'basic' timers such as breath and feign death, as well as some 'odd' ones such as party invite time, resurrect timeout, and arena game start, and a framework for injecting custom timers into the bars.

Recolors the casting bar when your cast target moves out of range mid-cast.

Displays a swing timer for your melee weapon as well as hunter autoshot.

Allows for creating custom timers displayed on the mirror bars.

*Tradeskill Merge

Merges multiple casts of the same tradeskill item into one big cast bar.

Use /quartz to bring up the configuration menu.

    - Use a SecureHook for DoTradeSkill as tainting causes the Enchanter's Study to break.
Untested, this may break the tradeskill cast bar functions slightly.

Does anyone know how to disable blizzards default focus bar?

Currently having to put up with Quartz cast bar over the default, but its slightly annoying seeing a cast bar on top of  one another :(

Is there anyway or a mode to turn on to SEE the bars outside of combat? I am trying to edit the mirror, target, and some other bars, as far as placement, size, and stuff. But it is hard to do this when I can't ever see them unless I am in combat.

All you need to do it type /quartz and toggle bar lock

I have the same problem. It seems impossible to configure this addon without actually being in combat. Most addons of this sort have a "TEST" feature that pops up a generic representation of what you'll see in combat to assist with configuration. This type of feature would be a welcomed addition to this great mod. Thanks.

    This one.

Type /quartz and when the window comes up, click on Toggle Bar Lock.

What do you mean, This one? I was asking for a way to view the bars OUTSIDE of combat and resize and alter them...

Hi, loving the addon, but just having one problem, if anyone knows how to fix it. The cast timer isn't showing it's 'completed' colour on completion of the cast, I'm able to change all of the other colours, but I really would like it to flash green as my cast finishes; in this case cobra shot, so that I know at a glance the shot's done and it's ok to move if I'm in AotH... if anyone can help, thanks a lot.

Edit: The green completed colour works on tradeskills, but not for example on cobra shot or calling mounts, are these two different types of spell that need different settings?

Hi there, brilliant addon, really love it!

Is it possible in a future update to have arena targets cast bars, this would make this addon perfect.

If you ever consider this maybe it would it would easier to script with a universal config for all 5 bars, and unlock them to place them.

YES!  if you add arena cast bars it would be AMAZING!!

There are some bugs with the Latency module.  Often my latency overlay becomes 2 or 3 times the size of the whole casting bar, but going left.. so negative??  It seems to be triggered when the cast time of a spell changes mid cast.  For example if a Destro lock's backdraft charge drops while he is casting Incinerate.  Any class that has temporary buffs that reduce cast time could be effected, I think.

    Can you fix this?

Actually, it might be due to procs from Insignia of the Corrupted Mind happening mid cast.

    Pet Swing Timers

Hey I'm just curious if theres a way to show your pets swing timer, maybe edit the lua to show pet swing timer instead of player. If not I'd suggest maybe adding this feature.

@LollyZerade The icons scale with the height of the bars, so go Quartz-Buff click the 'Target' tab and adjust the Buff Bar Height slider.

I vote for this! Raiding shadowpriests need it!
