About Quartz: Procs Module

This module requires Quartz to be installed, and it will use the Mirror module to add some class specific buffs/procs/ and certain cooldown timers. The options can be accessed by typing /procs ~ For even more configuration type /quartz, click on the 'Mirror' module in the Quartz options (or type /procs and click the settings tab and click the button there). There you can change almost anything related to the timer bar (width, height, font, texture, etc).

You can disable any buffs/procs that are already added, as well as customize a sound for each. Any buff/proc that isn't added, you can add yourself by making a custom buff/proc in the options. You can also create custom bar for cooldown tracking for any spell. Just simply type /procs to access the options panel.

Could you please add Molten Core, Decimation and Demonic Pact as options to the Warlock Proc list, as they are quite important for Demo Locks to be watching :)

Maybe even Metamorphosis and Demonic Frenzy, but they are triggered by the player themselves, so not really considered procs, more as buffs.

Have you considered adding in customisable notifications for these procs? Such as sounds from the shared lib or warnings which could be linked in to Blizz combat text or something? I dont like the way a lot of combat texts dont allow for choice of very specific buffs to watch in a raid situation, so If you added the functionality for these things to pop up and make a noise when they procced, it would mean we would only be getting told about specific events which matter to us as individuals, I couldnt care less about horn of winter when I want to know exactly when my Molten Core procs ;)

Molten Core, Decimation, and Metamorphosis are already added. Are they not showing up for you? I don't think Demonic Pact is on there but you can add it as a custom proc. Just type /procs and click on Custom Procs category.

Also sounds have been part of the addon since v3 I believe. Just type /procs and click on the spell you want to set the sound for. There's a dropdown box under Sound.

As for adding them into combat texts. I never really thought about it. Most addons for combat texts usually list when you get something, but I guess it's something I could add for Blizzard's combat text. I'll look into it.

I got v0.21beta out for Proxxy. I added Blizzard casting bar anchoring, configuration mode (kinda simple for now), animation for the bars when timer is running low, cooldown for custom procs (you can track internal cooldowns on trickets and such, or just track the cooldown of when the ability will be usable again), and quite a few bug fixes.

I'm using SVN for Proxxy now, so I will probably update it often while I'm adding new things (no more waiting on approvals, yay). I'm gonna add a debuff bar right now, since I really want Proxxy to be a standalone addon... well there's gonna have to be a way to watch your debuffs :)

If you want the latest and greatest... file is here

I updated to 3.0.7 and now it appears all the bars have disappeared. Is there a mod that might be interfering with this addon? The /procs command still works, and the settings windows appears, but the bars fail to appear on my bars.
  • #291
If there is no errors... You can try 3.0.6 again, or try the proxxy beta. It's basically the same as what the alpha for this used to be, but I've updated it recently. It's at:

I'm such an idiot... I had the mirror module disabled which obviously then wouldn't shot the timer/procs bars.

    -1 internets for me.
  • #294
Ah, yea that would do it :P

Well at least I know that's something to make sure people check next time they have a problem with the addon :)

And... I would appreciate any feedback on proxxy. I wanna make it as painless as possible switching from Quartz:Procs to Proxxy, so anything you think could change, I'll get an update out soon to help make Proxxy better :)

I LOVE proxxy. I had like the Quartz:Procs module. But Proxxy is awesome. I have been using the alpha since it was available. Though, with the new .2 beta of Proxxy (i posted this on the Proxxy page, but you may check here more) I get an error with Combustion. It counts up for each crit. But it gets to 3 then goes to 4 and a LUA error shows and the Combustion bar stays there until i reload ui.

Also, v3.0.7 coming out to fix the elemental oath bug

As much as I hate to make this project into a new one (since I've done it once with Quartz: Eclipse). I don't see any other way around it. I could release the new beta on here, but the beta isn't even Quartz: Proc anymore really. It's a standalone addon (even though the beta is tightly integrated _around_ Quartz, it doesn't depend on Quartz now).

I do want the same sorta feel though, that's why I didn't release the beta until I fixed it so it automatically attaches to the Quartz bar on the TopLeft, which is where the Mirror module is defaulted. So I had to make it move the Mirror bars to the bottomLeft. The only sorta problem with that is, if you do wanna move either of the bars, you have to change the anchor to something besides default in the options. I'll fix that later, just a temporary thing until I get around to it.

So, right now I'd appreciate beta testers for the new project. I use the beta on a daily basis (I have been for awhile, but it wasn't really user-friendly). So any bugs or requests will get added quickly. I'm gonna keep a close eye on the comments over there, and I'll make sure to address anything that might be a problem. If you are curios about the new features, and wanna test it out, it's called Proxxy:

Just a disclaimer. Proxxy isn't an update to Quartz; Procs per say... because it's gonna "reset" all your settings. So if you have custom procs or changed the colors of other procs, you'll have to set that back up for Proxxy.

Whenever I use this addon in juncture with Cartographer, my WoW slows down to about 2fps, and then freezes.
  • #284
Not sure why it would do that... but I do know cartographer hasn't been updated in forever, unless you're using some beta build they might have, that I'm unaware of? I gave up on cartographer a long time ago and went with mapster, you do have to get a few other addons to get all the features. Cromulent for the zone info, tomtom for the waypoints, gathermate for gathering, and handynotes if you want all the useful notes.

Hello. Is it me or is Ice Barrier not showing? Can you take a look into it please.
