About Quest Completist

Quest Completist

Enables you to see what quests you have completed, and what ones you still have to do. Supports server query, allowing you to query the blizzard server for all quests you have completed in the past.

Use /qc or /questc to open the main interface, or assign a key binding.

Hold left-shift and click to toggle completed status, hold left-alt and click to toggle unattainable status.

Version 105 - Garrison Pin Removal, Community Editor Thanks

  • Thanks to all members of the community using the Community Editor (Info below). All the quest tweaks you have made are automatically included within this release. Please continue contributing!
  • I have disabled map pins in the Horde and Alliance Garrison zones. These were overly messy, inaccurate due to people having buildings in different places, and were questionably useful as you will pretty much always see a "!" if you are in that zone. Obviously the quests still exist in the quest listings of the UI.

Community Editor Live!

I have hosted my QC database online, and written some software which allows me to generate the Lua code for the addon directly from this central data. This software enables anyone to view the database outside of the game, and also allows the community to contribute corrections if they spot any on their travels (Viewing is available to everyone, you need to contact me for sign on details if you want to save changes). This is obviously completely optional, but your changes are audited then saved directly back to the live database, and will be included in the next iteration of the add-on automatically!

The software can be accessed as a Microsoft ClickOnce application: Here

Still plenty of work to do (Support for map pins, etc on the way), but here is a peek of what the basic quest editor looks like:

Community Editor

Features

  • Lists all quests for each zone.
  • Provides at-a-glance quest feedback, which other similar quest trackers do not. For example a yellow "!" for uncompleted quests, a blue "!" or "?" for Daily and Repeatable quests and so on. This helps prevent confusion, as blizzard never concider Repeatables or Dailys "completed". It also flags special quests as orange, for example the collectors edition quests, or quests which can no longer be done.
  • Automatically switches zones as you travel around the world.
  • Allows you to view or hide quests for the opposing force, or for other classes.
  • Quest tooltips when hovering over them on the QC list.
  • Quest icons will appear on the world map for quest you have not yet completed.
  • Functionality to display what quests are "In Progress" when browsing the quest lists. If a quest is in progress (i.e In your quest log), then you will see either a grey "?" or a yellow "?", reflecting if the quest is "in progress but not complete" or "in progress and ready to hand in".
  • Supports server query.

Any feedback would be great.

I had trouble finding it too. It's at that very bottom of the list when you click the categories button.

  • #1094

OH brother.. thanks, I feel silly now not seeing that.

I posted almost a month ago, but never got a response - is there going to be any fix for the issue with there being no arrow in the QC menu for MoP and WoD dungeon quests? All the other zones and the earlier dungeons have the arrow to navigate to specific dungeons, with the exception of these. The individual quests are searchable if you search by name, but it's impossible to navigate directly to them. This is very frustrating because all my characters are at 85+ and working on MoP zones and, shortly, dungeons. It means having to go find a manual list of quests or download the editor. It seems like the sort of thing that in theory should be fairly fixable without much effort, but I may be incorrect and I apologize for making that assumption if I'm wrong. Like I said, it's obvious the quests are in there. There's just no way to view them per dungeon in the game.

Yea should be able to fix this

    hi,

personnaly it's not even working in twilight higland :/

  • #1083

I´m level 100 and Nothing shows up on my map . did a server query, disabled all other addons.

  • #1087

Have you ticked the option for lover level quests to show up on ur map?

  • #1084

I think the WoD database is wildly out of date. :(

Great addon. I feel the UI could do with an improvement.

So to make browsing easier I would suggest adding a panel, like Atlasloot has, so you can choose one continent for example and choose the different zones in the panel.

Thumbs up for taking the time to make this addon in the first place though :-)

Nice add on!  It keeps me from hanging myself while doing goblin, panda and worgen quest chains.

Just wondering if you could add a /toggle function.  To show and unshow so players could check how many of those "cant get out of this zone" quests are left?

    Quests on Maps

Hi, I love your addon, however I can see some quest points on the map that are not present in the game. It says the name of the character that supposedly gives that quest, and undernearth is NIL. I have no idea what that is. I already performed a server query, however the quests are still there. I just want to remove those points from my map so I dont get confused about which quests I still have left and which are non-existent. If you could tell me how I can manually remove quests from the map, that is also fine. Thanks in advance.

I noticed this in Lost Isle, Doc Whatchamajiggit..  It was an auto complete quest that completed as soon as you accepted it.  (just after the yaght explodes and you get revived on the raft).  Maybe that is what the Nil is?
