About Recap
Recap records damage, healing, and other combat-related events in the area around the player. Recap tracks buffs, debuffs, and the use of abilities.
- When installing Recap, please first remove any existing Recap folder from your "World of Warcraft/Interface/AddOns" folder.
- If experiencing problems with Recap, sometimes it is a bug, and sometimes your saved variables file may be damaged. It is always worth seeing whether removing the saved variables file fixes the problem. To do that, exit the game and go into your "World of Warcraft/WTF/Account/<account_name>/SavedVariables" folder and remove the "Recap.lua" and "Recap.lua.bak" files. Starting with version 4.25 there are also per-character saved variables files in the ".../<account_name>/<server_name>/<character_name>/SavedVariables" folders.
- If you believe that Recap is properly installed and enabled, but you can't see the Recap main panel, try typing "/recap". If that doesn't work try typing "/recap centre" (or "/recap center").
QUICK START GUIDE: If you are new to Recap, or wish a quick overview, check out Recap_Quick_Start.rtf. This file is inside the Docs folder inside the Recap folder.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS: If you wish more detailed information, check out readme_FAQ.txt for all of the features I have added or modified. For answers about earlier (and possibly obsolete) features of Recap prior to version 3.50, check out readme_332_FAQ.txt by Gello. These files are inside the Docs folder inside the Recap folder.

Hi everyone, we solved the problem where Shaman Totems doesn't merge damage with owner.
Enjoy!
When I first updated Recap I still wasn't seeing my Fire Ele but after playing around a bit with how I have it set up I found that it wont show up if I have Hide Other Combatants and Store Only Displayed Combatants checked at the same time. If only 1 of them is checked then the Ele shows up but not with both.
I have never needed to see someone's numbers who wasn't in my group so I have always run with both of these checked. Is it a technical limitation with out the Fire Ele's dmg is reported/tracked that causes this.
For now I'll just keep the Store option unchecked but was just wondering if it was something you could look at. Thanks!
I will take a look on that, but not sure i will bring something in short term because im working in some imporvments on recap right now :)
So I'm now hoping that someone is interested in taking over Recap.
Contact me via private message here, or via the email address in the readme.txt file.
I will continue to be available to help whoever takes over.
Hawksy
Sorry again!
Hawksy
I see you are taking care of a problem, hope that you release soon and it's back on Curse and.or Wowmatrix. Very cool of you to step back in. One of the most useful addons in the game, should probably be a small team running it!
As you may know, I left WoW in December 2010, and renews has taken over Recap. I have not heard from renews for nearly two months, and I think that I can safely fix Recap for patch 4.2 without actually testing it on WoW.
I have uploaded a beta for patch 4.2. Let me know if it solves the reported problem, and if it does I'll upload it as a release version.
I hope renews is okay, and will be returning to maintain Recap. If not, then I'd be looking for someone else to take over maintenance. I would be available to help, but do not have access to WoW for testing.
Hawksy
Thanks a ton for the work you put into this over the years.
