About ReforgeLite
Overview
ReforgeLite is a lightweight reforging calculator that helps you figure out the optimal strategy to reforge your gear given your stat weights and caps without leaving the game.
How to use it
To open the addon window, type /reforge or talk to the reforging master. On the left half of the window you can see your current item stats for reference.
On the right side you can set up stat weights/caps, or select an existing preset.
You can select up to two capped stats (e.g. hit rating and expertise rating). For each stat, you can select an arbitrary number of threshold values which change the weight of the stat once it passes this value. You can either set the threshold value manually, or use a preset (e.g. melee hit cap). You can also force the stat value to be above or below the treshold.
Alternatively, you can uncheck the "Specify weights" box and set up stat priorities via a more intuitive interface. Again, you can only have two capped stats - e.g. if you specify limits for hit and expertise, setting limits for haste will have no effect.
When you're done setting up weights/caps, press Calculate. Since it might take too much time (and run out of memory due to Lua limitations), it might trade some precision for speed, but the loss should be minimal. You can click the Calculate button several times to achieve the best result.
Once the calculation finishes, you will see a section with your stats after reforging, and the difference from your current stats. Click on the Show button to see which items should be reforged. Items that you have already reforged in the suggested way will have checks next to them; you can check some items manually if you do not wish to reforge them.
If the reforging UI is open, you can click on the Reforge button to automatically reforge all items in the selected way. Do not interfere in the process (clicking the cancel button or closing the reforging UI is fine). Caution: some users have reported it getting stuck reforging the same item over and over, so it is best to watch the process to avoid losing gold.
Known issues
- I'm getting wrong results: If you think the results you got are incorrect, first make sure the weights are set up correctly. E.g. if you set mastery higher than crit, don't be surprised that your items are reforged to mastery. If you still think something is wrong, click the Debug button at the bottom of settings, and e-mail the dump to me at d07.riv@gmail.com so I can find the problem.

That's hard to believe without seeing what gear you use (Kiroptyric Sigil for one I bet) but SV has multiple haste plateaus and in T13 you will get near the 2nd plateau where you will cast extra AS's instead of CS's.
Read the "What is this second and third plateau I've heard of?" section: http://www.mmo-champion.com/threads/935597-Survival-Hunter-Guide-(4.2)
Huh, same here. There is a form in which you can add conditionals at will, and set the variables to your desire RIGHT BELLOW the presets. The two times I did disagree with the add-on I simply inserted my own numbers "et biolá" there was the reforge I wanted.
I prefer to uninstall tinybubblez.
It's not safe to assume that going for the 2nd haste plateau is viable without BiS gear.
There should be a different preset focused on Mastery after 1st haste plateau, as haste isn't good for anything before the next plateau.
But hey, those who complain about presets should start studying their class, instead of complaining to the nice devs of the world. It's not hard to change the presets, I've done that, you can too. ;)
I need some help. Possibly from dev, possibly anyone else.
I moved to reforge window by accident to behind my action bars (all of them). I cannot click to drag it back up. Is there a way I can reset the window?
There may be a better way but... If you go into your WOW folder into the WTF subfolder you can access your saved variables.
C:\Program Files (x86)\World of Warcraft\WTF\Account\YOUR-ACCOUNT\SavedVariables
and delete a file named ReforgeLite.lua
It should reset all of Reforgelite's options, unfortunatly that means any changes you've made too.
I don't see any character specific data saves so that should be the only file you need to erase, hope it works for you!
I was surprised how well this worked, I have 4 lvl 85 raidish geared tanks (iLevel 386 to 370) and reforging a new piece of gear can be a pain. The presets (not shown very well in the pictures) make reforging a snap!
I also have a 85 hunter and I havn't bothered to reforge her, burn phase dps was 9k (survival spec) the same rotation after reforge was 16k (I have a crapy bow so...) I look forward to using this when my warlock dings!
Keep up the great work,
V
Could you update please, having some issues with this working properly atm
This addon is *amazing*. I was using Reforgenator before, and somehow it wasn't taking my caps into account and I wasted hundreds of gold. This one though does just what it says and then even reforged everything for me automatically. On top of that, it hit my *exact* hit cap, which I have never been able to do manually before. Gotta love math. Thank you so much for this addon!
"Updated 31 December 2011"
still working?
Could you explain how to save edited stat weights? I used SimC to give me my optimal stat weights as a fire mage, then click "Save" and it says to enter in the name of the preset. I've tried typing "Fire Mage", "Mage - Fire", and a few other variations, but none of them actually save.
They should appear in Custom section in the dropdown. At least it worked that way for me..
can you explain how calculation works and why you get different results every time
btw it would be great if it also could consider gemming
The algorithm it uses is quite heavyweight so it can't run on the lua engine in its full form (it only gets a limited amount of memory). For that reason, it's rounding some values (to multiples of, say, 4, depending on your speed setting), losing some precision as a result. Rounding is randomized, so if you run it several times you should get the best possible result.
What do you mean by considering gemming? For pretty much all classes, gemming is pretty straightforward - use primary stat gems in red sockets (blue for tanks) and primary+best secondary in colored sockets. While it could have a very minor impact on the reforging (say, you might switch an int/haste gem for int/mastery and it could allow you to get closer to your haste plateau for spriest), I don't think it's important enough to justify a major overhaul.
It looks to me as your CTC calc is off when using Str buffs. For example, when adding horn of winter, it is only doing diminishing returns on the 549str *.27/176.7189, instead of adding up all the parry result from that to the players overall parry and finding diminishing returns of the parry. This results in about a .73% bonus for Horn of Winter instead of the .53% that is supposed to be. I've verified this with chardev, unyielding valor calc tool, and rightoues defense CTC spread sheet.
By looking at the code I'm pretty sure it adds the bonus parry rating from str with your total parry before applying DR.. I'll check this later, but I think I've always been getting accurate results in-game.
