V2.4 has been released.

There are still a few outstanding issues that need to be aderesed but overall there is functionality for wow 5.2

I have added a few models and wll continue to tweak them when they need it.

The next update (2.4.1) should help with hit caps across the board.

Description

This addon attempts to inspects your class, spec, weapons, and stats to construct a priority list of stats and caps. With this model and your currently-equipped gear, this addon determines the most efficient way to reach the relevant caps for each stat.

At this time, at least one reforging scheme is supported for each class/spec.

If you find your class/spec isn't recognized and an appropriate reforging scheme recommended for you, please open a ticket and let me know.

The reforging window has three dropdown boxes to set relevant parameters for reforging:

  • Spec to reforge for
  • reforge existing or leave them how they are
  • reforge for Heroic 5 mans or for raiding.

The first dropdown displays all the models defined for your class. The first time you run Reforgenator for any character, it will guess which model to use based on your class and spec. After the first time, it will choose the same model your character used last time.

The second dropdown box lets you choose between "consider reforging anything" and "leave reforged gear alone".

If you choose "consider reforging anything" then the addon calculates what your stats your character would have if you undid all of your existing reforges and started over.

After figuring out what it wants to reforge, it will display those items that are different than what they are currently; this likely means undoing and redoing some existing reforges on your gear.

If you don't want to undo and redo reforgings, then set the dropdown box to "leave reforged gear alone" and the addon won't attempt to change any of it.

The third dropdown box lets you choose between reforging for heroic 5-man instances and reforging for raid instances.

Finally, there is a checkbox in the settings to emit verbose information about the reforging decisions to the chat frame.

If you get odd results from the reforging, please turn on the checkbox and run Reforgenator again. If the explanation doesn't make sense, please comment on Curse.com or open a ticket. If you can copy-paste the explanation as well, that would be much appreciated.

An armory link for your toon would also be helpful, as this will help us determine what you currently had equipped.

    It should be already be fixed I just need to fix a couple of other things first then I will send out a release.

    As an arms warrior this addon seems to be pushing me to go well over 8% expertise. Like it seems to prioritise 7.5% hit cap over both 7.5 hit/expertise.

    I'm not sure why, but when I follow the reforge suggestions for my Destro warlock, I follow them and end up at 15.05% hit, which is great. Then, when I type /reforgenator again, I get a SECOND set of recommendations that, if followed, leave me about .5% over the hit cap. typing /reforgenator AGAIN gives me back the original set of recommendations, which I used to get back to 15.05%. I'm not sure why it seems to want me to reforge back and forth between a good reforge set (with hit at cap but not far over, other stats slanted as appropriate toward mastery and crit) and one that's not, except that the better reforge has expertise on it (for spell hit of course).

    What information would you need to troubleshoot this?

    Actualy i am currently working on this issue.  There seems to be an issue in the optimization functions.  The first time it calculates the optimization is correct.  this is with none/some gear reforged. 

    Im fairly sure the actual issue is the expertise rating is not getting added to the calculations so you end up with getting way over hit cap.  

    since it seems to be fairly repeatable i have been stepping through it to see why it is not picking it up.

    I do also have some fixes for a few class models that have changed.  

    Hopefully i can get this fixed sometime this week if I have time after work.

    This is a great addon!

    But  I have found that it doesn't count the human racial when weilding a sword...........

    Ok before points it out yes i know that there are still a bunch of things that are broken.

    I am working on fixing some of them right now the rest will follow later.  I have released a new version that should work with the 5.2 patch.

    There are also a few class changes that have been made and there are a few more that will expand on these changes.

    I apologize for the delay but sometimes life gets in the way.

    Hello, i love this addon and was wondering when the update for 5.2 will be released, i know there has been some changes with mistweaver monk mastery and the bubbles now exploding and doing additional heals and was wondering if this change will make enough change that monk healers will go more mastery i rely on this addon for all classes i play love it!

    Its actually not yet implimented in a released version.  

    It should be comming soon though providing I get some other stuff fixed first.  

    I was having issues with it not always correctly showing the correct amount under a couple of specific instances and just never got back to address them.

    on the other hand i ahve been working on some cap related issues and should be able to push out a new release sometime soon I just need to do a bit more tweaking

    love the add on, its simple to use, only issue i have is on my elemental shaman, it keeps trying to put me at 18% hit when its suppose to be 15%, just wanted to pass that on

    Hi there, lvl 90 frost mage here.  Love this addon, makes life so much easier.  It was suggested that I gem expertise so I could reforge out of hit and into another stat.  I tried it and although expertise gems are increasing hit to well over cap, Reforgenator isn't making suggestions to reforge out of hit and into another stat.  Says no suggestions.  What do I need to do to make this continue to work?  Thanks for your work on this project and your help with my problem.

    Hi

    There are quite a few modifications that need to be made. 

    I appologize that I have not been as active in updating but I got cought up during the Holiday season with a career change (my choice) that took any time that I may have had away.  

    I have finally settled in the new conpany and will once again be able to start development.  

    I expect that I should be able t o have an update out in a week or so possibly sooner that will address a bunch of issues.

    I have a great deal of notes from where I left off in November and there are still a few fixes that never got merged into a release. 

    The issue that you described is actually in my notes already so it should be in the net release.

    Hi all,

    I just wanted to give a quick update on the status of things.

    This past month I hve been extremely busy and have not had the time to put into this addon, a combination of work and the holidays had made it almost impossible to find the time.

    On the bright side I have found a new job (im my field) that should allow me a bit more free time at the end of the day to work on things.

    I do have a few tweaks that I was going to push in a small update, however I realize that unless I fix the JP upgrade issue the other stuff is almost worthless.

    Here are a few things that I have updated:

    Fixed assasination rogue hit

    Added a second resto druid model so now there is one for mana that maximized mp5 and another for output that forsakes mana regeneration for increased healing.

    Added a second Wind walker monk model.  There is now one for dual wield and another for two hand.

    I will hopefully be able to have an update soon now that things are winding down and i have more time.

    Having the same problem as Fynik, I've tried to put in a "Fixed" value for both hit and exp but it still drives the % value way over cap.  I'm not sure how you calculate the stat weights, but I monkied with those to but started getting in over my head.

    What "fixed" values were you using? 2550 (at level 90) for each? anything higher then that and you are over cap.
