V2.4.1 has been released.

There are still a few outstanding issues that need to be aderesed but overall there is functionality for wow 5.4

I have added a few models and wll continue to tweak them when they need it.

The next update (2.4.1) should help with hit caps across the board.

Description

This addon attempts to inspects your class, spec, weapons, and stats to construct a priority list of stats and caps. With this model and your currently-equipped gear, this addon determines the most efficient way to reach the relevant caps for each stat.

At this time, at least one reforging scheme is supported for each class/spec.

If you find your class/spec isn't recognized and an appropriate reforging scheme recommended for you, please open a ticket and let me know.

The reforging window has three dropdown boxes to set relevant parameters for reforging:

  • Spec to reforge for
  • reforge existing or leave them how they are
  • reforge for Heroic 5 mans or for raiding.

The first dropdown displays all the models defined for your class. The first time you run Reforgenator for any character, it will guess which model to use based on your class and spec. After the first time, it will choose the same model your character used last time.

The second dropdown box lets you choose between "consider reforging anything" and "leave reforged gear alone".

If you choose "consider reforging anything" then the addon calculates what your stats your character would have if you undid all of your existing reforges and started over.

After figuring out what it wants to reforge, it will display those items that are different than what they are currently; this likely means undoing and redoing some existing reforges on your gear.

If you don't want to undo and redo reforgings, then set the dropdown box to "leave reforged gear alone" and the addon won't attempt to change any of it.

The third dropdown box lets you choose between reforging for heroic 5-man instances and reforging for raid instances.

Finally, there is a checkbox in the settings to emit verbose information about the reforging decisions to the chat frame.

If you get odd results from the reforging, please turn on the checkbox and run Reforgenator again. If the explanation doesn't make sense, please comment on Curse.com or open a ticket. If you can copy-paste the explanation as well, that would be much appreciated.

An armory link for your toon would also be helpful, as this will help us determine what you currently had equipped.

    I recently started using this addon and i want to say how awesome it is.Just one question about DW frost, when i use the addon it puts me at 10% hit however i only need 5% with talents, is there something im missing? thank you in advance.

    Just loaded Reforgenator but for some reason I am not seeing the reforging window, I've used this addon befor and it worked fine, but for some reason the reforging window will not appear when I interact with the Reforger in WoW ?
    I've disabled all my other addons and just enabled Reforginator but stil no joy :-(
    Any ideas ?

    Any reason why on my Boomkin it wants to give me over 18% hit? I'm at 17.04% right now and it's telling me to remove two reforges that I did that removed spirit. Thus it would give me well over 18% hit if I did that.

    Also the box that says to use spirit instead of hit rating whenever possible won't checkmark when I click it.

    FYI my warlock works great. It got me to 17% hit exactly. It's just my boomkin that is the problem.

    i have been looking over the feral druid info on your addon love it but how u have the feral druid on there ir's more the tanking then cat form. because in cat for druid do not need hit or experince. they just need master then haste and crit. i do not know the stats but that is all feral druids need.

    There should be two feral models, one for feral bear and one for feral cat. The cat model is hit to melee hit cap, expertise to soft cap, then all mastery all the time. Not sure why you aren't seeing it since it's in there.

    The rangedhit cap not 999, currently the Addon keeps reforging me to 999 hit rating, it should be 961 or 841 for draenei to reach the 8% hit rating

    is it possible that you would be integrated into the interface of the addon in the section on course rules for touch tank wars 8%

    It seems weird that the addon would suggest reforging out of one stat based on the order of the rules, when the two stats have the same weight. The addon also suggested reforging out of a stat that had a higher weight when its rule came later. This was an issue when I was trying to balance crit and haste with the MaximumPossible rule. I hope I'm making sense here...

    it keeps assuming i have the "Precision" talent in the combat rogue tree, i don't have that talent. the ad don thinks i have it, and is keeping me way under hit cap.

    The addon doesn't assume anything about your talents; it gets the information from the game how many points you've put into the talent. Specifically it uses

    local pointsInPrecision = select(5, GetTalentInfo(2, 3))

    That said, I have no idea why Blizzard's software reports you having a talent that you think you don't have. Please do let me know when you two figure out your disagreement.

    Same here i have 2 points into Precision but it is reforging me as if i have the third point.

    This is an excellent addon. However, I'd like to point an error in the Druid Boomkin model. The stat weights are fine, but one of the restrictions says that "Spell Crit Rating" should be the maximun possible, while the correct one should be "Spell Haste Rating" at maximun possible.

    Copied the Druid model (with new name (!)) and changed spell crit to spell haste - works.
    Only my copied model dosn't show the Name...

    Fix would be nice ;) (for both things)
