About RSA - Raeli's Spell Announcer
Help keep RSA working!
Once again, I am seeking someone to take over maintaining RSA - Xadurk has informed me of his intention to quit wow, and thus maintaining the addon. If anyone is interested, please PM me. Thanks.

About
RSA, Raeli's Spell Announcer, by Raeli of Arathor-EU (Now Maintained by Xadurk), is an addon that aims to help players with the announcement of certain spells, as well as reminding you of important missing buffs. For example, it can detect when you cast Divine Protection, and it will send a message like so:

As you can see, it can announce when it first is cast, and then again when it ends, not only that, but you can customise the messages that are sent.
Type /rsa in game to open in game configuration, or access it through the Blizzard Interface panel.
Spell Announcements
There is the ability to create custom message announcements, you can use certain tags to say what the target is and so on:
- [SPELL] will be replaced with the name of the spell
- [LINK] will be replaced by a clickable spell link of the spell cast
- [TARGET] will be replaced with the target of the spell (only works with spells that can be put on targets other than yourself)
- [AMOUNT] will be replaced with the amount of damage or healing done (only applicable to certain spells)
- [MISSTYPE] will be replaced with the type of spell miss (Such as Miss, Immune, Resist again, only available to certain spells)
- [AURA] will be replaced with the buff or debuff that is removed by dispels
- [AURALINK] will be replaced with a clickable spell link of the buff or debuff that is removed by dispels
- [TARCAST] will be replaced by the spell that you have just interrupted
- [TARLINK] will be replaced by a clickable spell link of the spell that you have just interrupted
Some of these are only usable for certain spells, each spell lists what is available for you to use in game.
If you want to use a percent sign in your message you need to type it twice: %% to allow it to show, else you will receive errors.
If you leave a Start or End message empty, it will simply not announce that part. So if you only want, to say, announce when Divine Protection ends, you leave the Start message empty, and only have an End message set.
You can set where to announce spells:
- Local - This sends messages to your own chat window, or the raid warning frame or both depending on your setting
- Raid
- Party
- Raid/Party - while raid or party will only ever announce in those channels (if possible), this will announce in either, depending on group size.
- Say
- Whisper - only when the target it someone else than yourself.
- Custom Channel - You can send it to a custom channel, like, say, your healing channel. This option is now unique for each spell, so you can send different spell announcements to different places.
- You can disable Raid/Party/Say/Custom Channel announcements while you have PvP active, if you are Ungrouped, or if you are not in an instance. Whispers and Local messages will always announce if checked.
Buff Reminder Options
You can set what spell you want to track. You can also:
- Disable reminding while you have PvP active
- Enable or disable reminding in your primary or secondary specs
- Set how often you want to be reminded
- Set where you want the announcements to be sent (local only - visible only to yourself)

1. Tracking Multiple Buffs at Once, awesome for use on warriors who would be able to track Battle Shout and Commanding Shout to be able to keep them both up at all times.
2. As a prot warrior, I would love to be able to track my Shockwave, Concussive Blow, Intercept and Charge stuns, as well as Shield Block, Intervene and Spell Reflect.
Thanks :)
I assume you mean you'd like to announce Shockwave, Intercept and so on? I can add those.
There also seems to be a bug where interrupts show up in the raid/party window even though they are not set to announce at all.
Made a screenshot of it: http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e235/galootje/error2.jpg
Also, any chance you can add the following:
-Fade message for Guardian of Ancient Kings
-Activation and fade message for Power Word: Barrier
Successful Interrupts
Resists / Misses / Immunes
So I'm not sure why you have a message saying Avenger's Shield faded.
I double checked, and I can't see any reason you would get an announcement like that, unless you set a message for it (but again, why would you? It doesn't announce when the spell fades from a target)
Announcements follow several things:
Do you have a message set? If not, do nothing.
Which channels have you set it to announce in? If none, do nothing.
What are your global settings? i.e if you set it to announce only in an instance, then are we in an instance? If not, do nothing.
The same is true of the Smart Raid / Party option, if that is enabled, it effectively disables the normal Party, and the normal Raid options, and replaces them with the 1 Raid / Party. If however you want separate Raid and Party options, disable this. But then you have to check that the options for the spell itself don't have Raid or Party options checked.
Basically, I'd ask that you double check what your configuration is, as I've been testing it so far in various places, and can't seem to reproduce this.
Also, there is already a Power Word Barrier, though I don't recommend using the ending announcement unless you are the only Discipline priest in the raid (the barriers aren't linked to anyone, so any barrier that fades will be announced. I will find a better solution for this though).
Finally! I have put in the notes at the top that Guardian of Ancient Kings isn't yet functioning properly, it only sends an event when cast, so to make it work nearly 100% as it should, I will have to make many more checks for an ending announcement, simply because Blizzard haven't set it to send that information to the Combat Log yet. When they fix that, RSA will announce it.
My global settings are "Smart Raid/Party say" enabled, "Enable only in instances" disabled.
I'll jut keep monitoring it closely see if it comes up again during another raid this reset.
Can you tell me specifically what you do to get this?
You cast Divine Guardian? Does the casting announcement work fine?
Divine Guardian fades. Does it announce Divine Guardian Fading? It also announces Avenger's Shield Fading at this point too?
What are your announcement (and the actual messages you have set) for both Divine Guardian and Avenger's Shield?
This might help to find the problem - if indeed it is RSA causing it.
what about challenging roar? :)
