About SavedInstances

SavedInstances

An addon that keeps track of the instance/raid lockouts saved against your characters, and related currencies and cooldowns. SavedInstances has the following features:

  • Tooltip display shows current lockouts and data for all your characters, and optionally expired lockouts
  • Secondary tooltip (per-lockout) shows lockout details including bosses available, lock status and time remaining, and can be linked into chat
  • Tracks the valor points, justice points, honor points and conquest points of all your characters, including weekly caps
  • Tracks charms of good fortune and other useful currencies (configurable display)
  • Tracks weekly World Boss Loots (Sha of Anger, Galleon, Oondasta, Nalak, Celestials, Ordos, Drov, Tarina, Rukhmar)
  • Tracks LFR bosses looted
  • Tracks holiday boss encounters
  • Tracks daily and weekly quests completed for each toon (mouseover entry to list completed quests)
  • New in 6.0.7: Tracks Garrison invasion rewards (mouseover weekly quests)
  • Tracks monthly Darkmoon Faire quests completed for each toon (mouseover weekly quests)
  • Tracks weekly "special" loots on the Timeless Isle and Isle of Thunder (mouseover weekly quests)
  • Tracks trade skill cooldowns (eg. Celestial cloth, Living Steel transmute, Secrets of Draenor, etc.)
  • Tracks farm planting and harvest on Sunsong Ranch (*)
  • Tracks data for all your characters across servers and factions
  • Can be configured to always show your favorite instances so you can use it like a shopping list
  • Tracks Blizzard's 10 instance per hour per account limit (*)
  • Tracking Bonus Loot Rolls (hidden by default), to help in "gaming" the bad luck protection (*)

Known Issues

SavedInstances is pretty good, but it's still not quite perfect. There are currently a few issues:

  • When first installed, SavedInstances has no knowledge of your other characters: you'll need to log into each for their information to be recorded
  • (*) = Indicates a feature displaying data that cannot be directly queried from the server, but rather is collected by the addon while observing player actions. Actions taken while the addon is disabled, or from other computers, or before a client crash, can result in this display being temporarily out-of-date or incomplete.
  • Lockout time remaining and other features may be off by an hour when your region changes to and from Daylight Savings Time, or if you manually adjust the timezone of your computer.
  • Tracking for the 10 instance per hour limit uses heuristic detection and hence may occasionally be inaccurate (notably when another player has lead and performs explicit resets), but does a reasonable job for common cases.

Usage

SavedInstances will create a new button on the minimap, and you can use it to interact with SavedInstances just fine. The addon can also be displayed using a LibDataBroker-compatible display addon. I personally use Chocolate Bar which works quite well. Finally, you can bind a key or use "/si show" to open a detached window containing the display.

Ok maybe I'm missing something, I just killed Drov and it doesn't show anywhere that I did kill it. Any help would be appreciated.

Could there please be an option to always show Daily and Weekly quests, like there is with raids?  It'd be a helpful reminder about what ones still need doing, at least for Weekly which should not be too huge a list to manage. (Daily, of course, is another matter entirely.)

Also, I don't know whether these are currently included, but it'd be nice to have tracking of the free seal you get from the Dwarven Bunker / War Mill, as well as whether you recruited a follower from the Inn.  Similarly, I second ajpreisner's comment about the mines and herb garden.

Thanks for working on this very useful add-on!

Hi, By far one of my top favorite add ons,  Since Wod has hit i find my time n the Garrisons to be extreme for all my alts an if i get pulled away i half to go back an figure out which toon i did the mines garden etc on .. I was wondering if you could add more of the garrison daily things to your wonderful add on .. garden .. an mine u had that feature with mop garden an i think it would be very helpfull with garrisons for wod .. I have been looking for another add on to help with all the garrison activities an have not found one.

Thanks for Your Great Work with Saved Instances

Is it possible for this addon to track the headhunter/follower recruiting from the Inn/Tavern each week?

  • #445

HI, i was wondering if there would be ane way to use this addon to tack who has killed each boss in NM/HC in the raid and even better in the whole guild, even if the whole guilld has to have the addon.

With flex raiding this days it would be really usefull, and as a quite casual guild leader i sometimes struggle to know what bosses we could kill on tuesdays and get some extra loot, if I had some way to see in a quick look home bosses would give us a loot with the current raid, it would be awesome.

I have looked quite a bit and have not found anything like this, the only thing is the DBM lockout but that would only work for Mythic.

Your addon is otherwise fantastic for its intended use.

    Thanks

Hmm, what about adding a slot for Blingtron? https://twitter.com/nite_moogle/status/553273772711493633

  • #448

It's under the account daily quests in the leftmost column.

  • #442

Possible to add tracking for weekly coins? How many of the 3  Seal of Tempered Fate bought.

  • #447

This is already there, under Weekly Quests.

    Show Raid only

Is there a simple way to show raids only (expired and saved) but not 5-mans?

  • #435

Is there some way to make it so it shows all characters on a bnet account, instead of only the ones under the current wow account that is on the bnet account?

  • #437

Not possible. Addon data is not shared across accounts.

  • #438

Ah to bad, thanks for replying though :)
