About Serenity
Welcome to Serenity!
Serenity is extremely configurable. There are so many different ways of changing the look and feel of the addon that the possibilities are limitless. The amount of configuration can be overwhelming, but Serenity is designed to be usable upon install without any additional changes required.
History:
Serenity is the replacement for JS' Hunter Bar. This addon was re-written from the ground up by _JS_ to accommodate the requests from the people using it. Now Serenity is being updated and maintained by Toresh (Flippy734).
Features:
- Focus bar with tick marks indicating how much energy is needed for your shots. You can configure up to five custom marks, one of those being the main shot for your spec (changes when you respec or swap talents!).
- Crowd control timers for anything you have under Wyvern Sting and Freezing Trap.
- Misdirection module that announces who you cast misdirection on, whispers the target when you are actually transferring threat to them and will even warn them if they are mounted because you can not misdirect a mounted unit. This module also adds right clicking of unit frames to cast misdirection (normal right click functionality is still available by holding any modifier key with right click - ALT + Right Click, etc.).
- Interrupt announces for Silencing shot and even Scatter Shot.
- Item / Spell Timers. You can track the cooldown of any item, as well as the duration of a debuff (Serpent Sting) on your target, plus much much more.
- Timers are also available as Icons (stationary) as well as moving time-line style.
- Alerts for buff, debuff or cast of a given spell. (Think mini-power auras).
- Enrage module that will inform you when a mob is under an enrage effect that can be tranquilizing shot off. There is also a frame to show the magic buffs on a target that you can possible remove for pvp.
- Indicator for current Aspect, missing aspect, with the option to only show when missing. Also warns if you are using cheetah or pack in combat.
- Indicator for Hunter's Mark on target, warns if missing, low on time remaining, plus it can account for Marked for Death.
- Bar smoothing to alleviate the "blocky" fill in of your energy bar.
- Scare Beast indicator shows you when you can use Scare Beast.
- Energy bar can change colors based on configurable amounts of focus to give you color indication of how much focus you have available or lack-there-of.
- Profiles for multiple configuration for different environments (PVE / PVP / etc.)
- Templates for Serenity's base setup and look, as well as one that will use TukUI colors to match your TukUI interface schema.
- Extensive in-game options for those that like intricate configuration.
- Chat announces per environment for interrupts, misdirection, tranq removed buffs, etc.
- Auto-shot swing bar and timer.
- Boss current health percentage on energy bar.
- Support for LibSharedMedia3 for sharing textures with other addons
1.6b (update thanks to hugojcastro)
- -New timer to track internal cooldowns
- -Better prediction of focus in case you carry on 2 pieces of tier 13. You need to select a checkbox on the configuration to enable it.
- -Remove the configuration options and automatically calculates the focus prediction. It takes into account if you wear 2 pieces of tier 13 and if you have talent points in [One with Nature] when Aspect of the fox is active on you.
- - Added Spanish locale
Beta 1.4: -Fix to work with PTR 4.3
1.3: - Fix that *may* have caused FPS issues on people with mid-low level systems. - Minor adjustments to functions and features.
1.2: - Changed frame strata & levels so frames now get rendered over UI frames. - Survival LnL procs will not change the main spell tick mark now, it will always remain stationary. - Added option slider to set when tenths of seconds should be displayed. - Changed target health from 80% to 90% per MM changer to Careful Aim.
1.1: - Fixed MD not working on Grid raid frames. - Added support to not enable MD on specified frames. - Change allowable minimum energy bar height to be 6px. - Allow aspect indicator to only pop up in combat. - Fix type-o in battleground announces (should fix the /say issue being defaulted in PvP zones). - Made TukUI template always show with or without TukUI installed (or ElvUI, etc.) - please report results @ gsguild.us. - Attempt to raise frame strata to allow Serenity to embed over other frames.
1.0: Release Bump - No changes, bumbed to release for easier client installs from Curse Updater.
0.9 Beta: - Initial Public release to Curse, WoW Interface and other sites.

Is there any way to change the opacity on the Hunter's Mark notification? Back when this was simply JS' Hunter Bar the Hunter's Mark would be opaque when targeting a mob and not in combat and turn solid when you entered combat. I prefer this to having the solid Hunter's Mark regardless of my combat status. Any tips?
I would like a light version of this addon, or a modular one where i can unload every gimmick i dont need or use...
And a short description how to move e.g. the Hunters Mark reminder...
"-Better prediction of focus in case you carry on 2 pieces of tier 13. You need to select a checkbox on the configuration to enable it."
I've just come to report a possible problem, and see the creator has stopped supporting it?
Well, confirmed today with Serenity as the only addon loaded that it is interfering with the auto-attack command when controlling npc "pets" such as the adds in the Instructor Rasuvious fight or the bear mounts in "Back to the Pit" in Stormpeaks. Turn off Serenity, and these pets suddenly obey the attack command as normal. It doesn't effect any of the other attacks, just the basic auto-attack command. It's a small annoyance since I haven't run into these situations very often.
Test it with out any other addons, and let me know if there is still a problem. I don't rerally see how it could be serenity giving you this issue,
As I mentioned, I tried it with only Serenity loaded. However, I've decided it might be Blizz's fault after all because today it worked twice with addons enabled but is still buggy. Serenity is one of 2 or 3 addons I keep turned on no matter what I'm doing; so when I decided to test whether it was an addon conflict, Serenity was the first one I turned back on. I was writing a ticket and realized the GM would probably blame addons for it.
So basically, I love Serenity and will keep using it. If I manage to figure it out, I'll get back to you. Sorry I can't be more specific, and thanks for the help!
Hello all,
As I no longer play WoW, I no longer keep Serenity up to date. I'm not sure of the situation of updates and keeping it working with new WoW builds.
If it is not keeping up, please let me know, as we'll find another person to support it.
PM me for info,
JS
That sucks :(
I hope someone will take over this great addon when MoP hits.
Curse client again updated it to another addon named "Serenity", which has nothing for hunter :(
I have made a re-installing. Happy that settings are not erased in this case :)
when the curse client does this, leave the now broke Serenity as it is and right click on it and tell it ignore ... so from now on that old ass priest mod will be there in curse and ignored!
now reinstall the real Serenity and it will work and updated and never mess up again
And as JS suggested report the problem to Curse and hopefully they will get this fixed on their side
This is a problem on Curse's side. They need to kill the bad "Serenity" addon which has been unsupported for years.
Please send Curse support a message to get it resolved.
Thanks!
Hello,
Really need some help here. I created a new timer to track the cooldown for a "use" trinket. My settings are as follows...
Item Name - Kiroptyric Sigil "also tried ID number"
Talent Spec - Any "also tried my current spec"
Position Of Timer Text - Right
When I activated the trinket I do not get a timer icon for it. Also tried same method with a "Tinker" and a "Hearthstone". However, anything thing that is a "Spell" in my spell book, such as Kill Command, Rapid Fire, ect. all work fine.
Hope someone can assist me.
Thanks
goto somewhere like wowhead or something. Look up your trinket or on use item. In the tooltip on the top there is a link for the spell you need.
For you, Kiroptyric Sigil link is the USE: Increases your Agility by 2290 for 15 sec.
Click that to go to the SPELL called "Agile" Spell ID: 107947
Is there something like this for all class out there. Im looking for a single bar like this taht will track my countdowns of my buffs. or something like that
I'm having an issue with the addons misdirect funtion not working in the LFR for some reason. It use to then it just stopped. It works fine in a party or regular raid group just not in the LFR. Any suggestions as to why and how I can fix it? I love this addon, I can't live without it!
