About SexyMap

Make your minimap ubersexah! SexyMap is a minimap awesomification mod, supporting:

  • Minimap moving, and movement of things like the quest tracker and durability frame.
  • Customization of zone text & clock
  • Hiding of all buttons attached to the minimap (can be set to be always hidden, or to show on minimap hover)

    Since the addon seems abandoned, is there anyone out here good enough in lua to strip theis addon of everything and just keep the possibility of showing the second hud in the middle of your scrren on a keypress ?

    It's the only reason several of us are using it, since sexymap is the only addon I know of that can create such a useful secondary hud with mining/herbing nodes.

    Disclaimer: I'm a programmer but I don't really know Lua.

    Anyway, I've been able to avoid this error. I say avoid because all I've done is wrap the code around a nil check so it doesn't even try to execute it if certain values are nil. Why are they nil? I have no clue and it may be indicative of some other issue. I haven't have any problems thus far.

    Anyway if you're comfortable with modifying the lua. You need to go into the General.lua file, go down to line 211. See that block of code?

    Above the line that reads

    if f:GetTop() - f:GetBottom()

    You need to put this
    if f:GetTop() ~= nil and f:GetBottom() ~= nil then

    And below the line that reads
    end

    You need to put another line that reads
    end

    The next block right below it needs similar treatment. In the end your lines 211 - 226 should look like this:

    My button visibility seems to not work properly.

    Buttons such as Atlasloot and Fishing Buddy (even if I have there visibility set to Never) appear after every logging, this is very annoying.

    Button positioning also changes frecuently.

    Hi, first of all, thanks for the great addon. Would it be possible to add an option to, when using the Fade option, delay the fading out of the minimap for X amount of seconds, instead of it happening immediately? Also, would it be possible to hide the mini-map icons (questgivers/partymembers/etc) when using the Fade option? Thanks.

    GreyWolf101290 is an absolute genius. For the computarded a basic text edit program would be your notepad. Go ahead and open it up drag your "sexymap.toc" file into your opened up notepad then follow Greys instructions. (don't forget to save the changes when finished)
