  • A HUD overlay for resource gathering, target tracking, and more.

I'm having issues seeing quest areas unless I maximize the minimap. I also have carbonite and can't figure out if this is a problem in carbonite or sexymap.

I loved the mod on the map. Do you think you could do the same with the actionbars and characterbar? :)

  • #2689

    Masque does it for Actionbars.

  • #2687

Figured there was a good reason.  I also noticed that the arrows remain surrounding the space where the minimap should be, during Hud-time--but this is good enough for me when using TomTom to track relics.

Found Interesting thing. In Sexymap don't work presets if AceGUI-3.0 is working. When you disable AceGui-3.0 and reload interface - everything is OK, you can choose and user-submitted presets.

What you've linked to is a library that actually comes included with SexyMap. In other words, thousands of people are using SexyMap and this library (including me) without issues. I suggest you delete that addon from your addons folder unless you are purposely disembedding libraries for some reason, you may have an ancient version of it.

    RobCornell,

There's already code in SexyMap to solve the SexyMap HUD/TomTom crazy arrow problem, but it's commented out:

To change Arrow's the behavior to work with the HUD, do this:

    1. Browse to "...\World of Warcraft\Interface\Addons\SexyMap"
    2. Open the "HudMap.lua" file in notepad
    3. Locate the commented block that begins: "--[[if mod.db.useTomTom ..." (it's a bit down from the top)
    4. Remove the dashes & both square brackets, --[[  from the beginning
    5. Locate the end of this block, "end]]"  (which is four lines down)
    6. Remove both square brackets, ]]  from the line
    7. Now scroll down a few more lines to locate the second commented block, beginning with: "--[[if (force or mod.db.useTomTom ..."
    8. Again, remove the dashes & both square brackets, --[[  from the beginning
    9. Locate the end of this block, "end]]"  (which is four lines down)
    10. Remove both square brackets, ]]  from the line
    11. Save the file & restart WoW (you may simply be able to /reloadUI instead of restarting)
    12. Test TomTom's behavior with & without the HUD

Note that you'll have to do this each time the SexyMap addon is updated.

It's commented out because it doesn't work and it takes a century and a half to get the author of the Astrolabe library to actually fix the problem (Astrolabe is a library that TomTom uses to provide this functionality) who has outright ignored my recent email requests for a status update.

    HUD map keybind

when you bind a key for the hud map it does not just bind the one key you want, if you hit the wrong button to bind and go to change it, any button you use is added, i have like 6 buttons now that will change to hud map... plz fix love the add on other wise

Sexymap doesnt let me use the set focus option.

    Waypoint Arrows

How come no waypoint arrows seem to function properly with the SexyMap HUD? It stops tracking distance and doesn't point in the right direction.

It would really help me make sure I'm going in the right direction when using the HUD and Routes to do gathering. Unless there is some option to make it work that I'm missing.

BTW: I'm trying to use TomTom for this. If there's another arrow that will work better, I'm open.

My LFG/Dungeon/PvP button has flat out disappeared from the minimap (little green circle) since the last update, I cannot get it to return. Period. How was something like this overlooked by you guys? It has already cost me two hours of time due to not being able to re-enter a raid.

  • #2678

It takes you two hours of time to disable an add-on that's misbehaving?

  • #2676

The effects around the map isnt showing for me... and i cant choose a new present couss it just says

"quickly change the look of your minimap by using a minimap present."

how do i activate a new present??
