Everybody can set marks now, so change line 25 like that:

    0) end

    (removed check for leadership)
  • #9
only party members can set marks, not in raid !

Just wanted to say this is a great mod. Does what it should easily and effectively. Keep up the good work!

drunkscourse - It is probably locked. Try /simplemarker lock to unlock it.

Can't get this to work even when I am leader in an inst. The bar with the marks appears - but when I target a mob and then try to click one of the marks on the bar, nothing happens. I'm obviously missing something - any help please? thanks

drunkscourse and Zidomo - agreed. Started out unlocked and unusable is dumb. Will fix in a new drop today.

This works great...except for the one near-fatal flaw the poster above mentions. There is a way around it, but it shouldn't have come up in the first place.

How to get it to mark stuff: left-click the LDB display showing "SimpleMarker" once. Or go into its options (Interface, Addons or "/simplemarker config") and click "Lock". The gray "move" frame around the icons vanishes and you can now click the icons to mark targets. It retains its state through relogs.

Click the LDB display again to get the grey "move" frame back so you can move it (but be unable to mark any targets until you lock it again).

This is a pretty bad design issue. When you first install it, the grey "move" frame appears and its not very apparent why the &*^* you can't mark anything. Nothing in the description above or in its options panel mentioning you can't mark anything until you lock the frame. I almost stopped using it and moved to one of the million other mods like this before discovering that locking the frame allows it to be used.

    So this needs either:
    A) to be able to be used to mark targets when unlocked (as many other marking mods like this allow).
    or
    B) a very clear warning that this can't be used to mark targets until you lock the bar. Via one (or more) of a message popup when you click an icon when the bar is unlocked, a note in the mod description, a note in the configuration frame or a README.TXT in the download.
