About Skada Damage Meter

Skada is a modular damage meter with various viewing modes. It is inspired mainly by Assessment, but also by Recount.

Skada sports segmented fights and detailed views, while being highly efficient with memory. This is accomplished by aggregating data on fight segments.

Skada is entirely modular. The built-in modes can all be toggled on/off.

Features:

  • Automatic mode switching when entering combat. For example, you can have Threat mode be shown in combat. Skada can switch back after combat ends.
  • Specific fight segments can be kept indefinately.
  • Multiple windows. Each window can be configured fully.
  • Threat mode can warn on high threat.
  • Modes: Damage done, DPS, Threat, Enemy damage done, Enemy damage taken, Healing, Overhealing, Total healing, Absorbs estimated, Damage taken, Dispels, Mana regen, Debuff uptimes, and more.
  • Reports can be done everywhere. For example, you can report a certain player's Debuff uptimes.
  • Summary information for most modes (DPS, HPS, Fails, etc) in a LDB view/minimap button.
  • LDB data feed can show personal/raid DPS or personal threat.
  • Support for SharedMedia and Class Colors.
  • Class and role icons.
  • Stop/Resume fight segments to discount irrelevant data.

Skada is very easy to extend, and there are many "plug-in" addons out there that add functionality, such as:

Usage:

Navigation in Skada is done by "drilling down" to the information you want. You go to a lower level, showing more detailed information, by clicking on it, and you go to a higher level by right-clicking.

The top level is the list of all saved fight segments. The second level is the list of all available data modes, such as Damage Done. The third level is one of these modes. Most modes let you drill down for further details. Some modes have several detailed views. In this case you choose alternate views by holding certain keys pressed while clicking. For example, in Damage mode, you can Shift-click a player to see what enemies the player caused damage to. Tooltips will display how to reach the different views.

You can also use window buttons for selecting fight segment and mode directly.

Scrolling in Skada is done with the mousewheel.

New Skada windows can be created from the configuration screen. Each window can be separately configured. A popular feature is "Mode switching", which lets Skada automatically switch to a specific mode on entering combat.

Fix Enemy healing module to include enemy HoTs with a nil source unit (eg Cauterizing Bolt on Thogar).
Previously these heals were completely omitted from tracking, now they are shown on Enemy Healing Taken (but we still have no way in general to correctly attribute them for Enemy Healing Done).

    For some reason, the CC announcer and Threat warning does not work.

    Announcing CC Breaks no longer seems to work. I updated the addon to the latest version and it will not register the CC breaks in the meters or announce them to my party.

    Healing meter lagging me

    Hi, I have been having "stutter" type lag while having the healing module turned on.  Any time I use any sort of a heal while in combat such as a HoT, I start having the stutter problem.  Is there any way I can fix this without having to disable the addon?

    Would be nice, if the Addon would track the buff "Tempus Repit" from the Legendary Meta Gem "Sinster Primal Diamond". Thanks in advance, keep up the good work : )

    I have an issue where the addon won't work or read DPS if I just log into WOW. I always need to do a UI /RL to get it to read correctly. I am not getting any error message from the addon it just doesn't seem to read for some reason. ???? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I  really like Skada over Recount!!

    I think we can all agree that 100,000 is a lot easier on the eyes than 100000.

    Is it possible to let the User configure the Number format to a specific element?

    Take me for the example,  I want Detailed DPS/HPS and condensed Amounts of Damage done/Healing done.

    Ist possible to show rounded numbers instead of full number format, for example

    instead of saying 100000 DPS

    I would like the damage meter to show 100k DPS format

    I would like the opposite, is there anyway to do so? In the new version the dps is shown as K DPS format, how do I change it back? It's stupid to see healing without rounded, and damage with rounded numbers.
