About Skada Damage Meter

Skada is a modular damage meter with various viewing modes. It is inspired mainly by Assessment, but also by Recount.

Skada sports segmented fights and detailed views, while being highly efficient with memory. This is accomplished by aggregating data on fight segments.

Skada is entirely modular; the modes listed below are all separate addons. Only the modes you load adds to the memory and CPU cycles used.

Features:

  • Automatic mode switching when entering combat. For example, you can have Threat mode be shown in combat. Skada can switch back after combat ends.
  • Specific fight segments can be kept indefinately.
  • Multiple windows. Each window can be configured fully.
  • Threat mode can warn on high threat.
  • Modes: Damage done, DPS, Threat, Enemy damage done, Enemy damage taken, Healing, Overhealing, Total healing, Absorbs estimated, Damage taken, Dispels, Mana regen, Debuff uptimes, and more.
  • Reports can be done everywhere. For example, you can report a certain player's Debuff uptimes.
  • Summary information for most modes (DPS, HPS, Fails, etc) in a LDB view/minimap button.
  • LDB data feed can show personal/raid DPS or personal threat.
  • Support for SharedMedia and Class Colors.

Skada is very easy to extend, and there are many "plug-in" addons out there that add functionality, such as:

Usage:

Navigation in Skada is done by "drilling down" to the information you want. You go to a lower level, showing more detailed information, by clicking on it, and you go to a higher level by right-clicking.

The top level is the list of all saved fight segments. The second level is the list of all available data modes, such as Damage Done. The third level is one of these modes. Most modes let you drill down for further details. Some modes have several detailed views. In this case you choose alternate views by holding certain keys pressed while clicking. For example, in Damage mode, you can Shift-click a player to see what enemies the player caused damage to. Tooltips will display how to reach the different views.

You can also use window buttons for selecting fight segment and mode directly.

Scrolling in Skada is done with the mousewheel.

New Skada windows can be created from the configuration screen. Each window can be separately configured. A popular feature is "Mode switching", which lets Skada automatically switch to a specific mode on entering combat.

There is a forum thread for discussion on Skada. All suggestions and bug reports are very welcome.

"Skada" is Swedish for "Damage".

    Skada Damage Meter

    I have two window setup, one for heals and the other for DPS. My problem is I can get them to show but they both don't work until I reload my screen. (/reload) Any ideas?

    that is ok to see the damagemeter, but not ok in the Petbattles, if an function inside to disable skada in petbattles? When not, then possible something to make?

    I'm having the same issue as the_only_viper, in SoO fights aren't saving, I only get options from current fight and total.  Everything works normally in ToT, I get new segments for each boss.

    Tried deleting and reinstalling and it didn't fix it.  My friends say that theirs is working normally.

    Hi,

    Updated to latest release, but still fights don't get saved in SoO. Only can see current fight, and the saved fights are only from ToT.

    Any way to fix this?

    Giving Skada a try, been a recount user for years.

    Couple things which dont work well. Choosing the skada menu to choose item to display in bar window does not adjust, so the window on my screen is near the top and choosing the menu the list goes off the top of the screen so I cannot see most of the data items. I have to move the window to the bottom of the screen to choose another item to display (e.g. switching from DPS to damage)

    Using a tooltip for spell damage details; This is so much better in recount in terms of presentation. In a separate window with breakdown of spells and percentages. The Skada Tooltip version is poor by comparison and not having in a separate window really makes it painful to use.

    Otherwise, I like the display and the performance, just needs more graphs and detail window options. :)

    idk why but skada doesnt show the buff uptime of tempus repit (legendary meta for caster sinister primal diamond). does anyone know how to fix this?

    One of the most important addons to raid successfully and to reconsider its own damage output, resulting damage, done healing and other useful information - at least for the raid leader. Kudos to the author!

    Any way to change the order of the Modes in the list? They are set alphabetically, but I'd prefer putting the ones I use the most above others which are more situational.

    I have uninstalled and reinstalled this add on a few times now (also deleted in game settings) and yet everytime I enter a raid I have to reload my ui in order for skada to record/show anything at all. I can't imagine this is intended. Is there any sort of fix going in for this?

    It seems the author doesn't care about this issue. I have checked the official site, the official forum, and here, he doesn't seem to address this issue at all. looks like it is time to delete it and move on.
