About Skillet

Skillet: A trade skill window replacement

Skillet is a replacement for the default tradeskill and craft UI, and is based on ATSW, by Slarti. This is not a continuation of ATSW, which is still going strong as far as I know, but is rather a brand new mod based in the ideas in ATSW.

Love the addon. Feature request: Filter by skill level needed. Example: My jeweler has many recipes and most of them are grey. Unfortunately the Lich recipes are the same shade of grey. I would like to be able to filter either by combine color or skill range so I could show only the Cata level gems.

  • #546

Love this addon, please can you update the TOC so theres no need to enable load outdated addons?

  • #545

Ooook... I realy like your addon so i just took some of my play time and finished the last 40% of the brazilian portuguese version. Glad to say its a go go for launch on the upgrade

    See ya :)

  • #544

    great job!  love it!

have a question tho, I see in your screenshot the required level to use a craftable item.  does the addon allow this or did you use another one?

    Custom Groups

I've seen a number of posts from people saying their custom groups disappear after logging.

Is anyone NOT having this problem?  Are custom groups saving correctly for any of you?  Thanks!

  • #533

Skillet locks up the game in 4.3. Game loads currently but when I pull up some profession, Skillet pops up normally but shortly after game just freezes.

  • #542

    screen position

    Hey guys,

Can anyone tell me how to reset the screen postion. I have dropped it of the bottom of the screen, behind the action bars, and can't grab it back.......very frustrating:)

  • #532

Click and drag using the side edge (left or right) instead of the top edge.  Drag the bottom back onto the screen and resize it smaller.

Had this same problem too, was aiming to resize the window and the bottom edge shot off the screen all by itself...  I was trying to resize while smelting, that might have something to do with it.

Delete all Skillet.lua files from WTF folder.

  • #535

Thx, but my prob is that i can't see any edges of the Skillet window. It has gone of the bottom of the screen. I have tried removing extra action bars, re-sized the UI to the smallest size, and i still can't see any edge of Skillet to grab to drag it back.

I was hoping that there was a reset to default position function, or something like that. I have even uninstalled it, deleted it's saved variables file and then reinstalled. The other thing I have noticed is that it only happens on the one toon that i originally lost it on.

Any suggestions would be great, i love the addon, but can't use it.....:)

TY TY TY Umbroses ....I dont know which one it was, but I deleted the Skillet files from both the character name and from the saved variables int WTF file. Thank you  again.Smile

I have two mining characters, one Alliance and one Horde. For some reason, Skillet will not show EITHER of their smelting while I'm on another character. :/a
  • #538

skillet utiizes tradeskill links to provide access to different toon's tradeskills. smelting is NOT linkable (for whatever reason -- it's a blizzard thing).  ask somebody to link you their mining/smelting... they can't.

I've had some weirdness in skillet recognizing items in my bags. I recently rolled a new rogue and went on my leather worker to craft up all useable items through lvl 20. Skillet made a list of raw mats needed including the sub items. For instance light hide + salt. When I grabbed the some of the items from an alt and put them in my inventory Skillet still wanted to list the items needed to craft the cured light hide and would not recognize that I already had one. Would it be possible to make a tree view in the shopping list showing something like:

    -----------------------------
    - Cured Light Hide (5)
    Light Hide (5)
    Salt (5)
    - Heavy Leather (10)
    -Light Leather (20)
    Light Leather Scraps(40)
    -----------------------------
Where you have the actual item the recipe calls for at the top node then the mats needed to create it in the secondary node etc.

Also some professions seem to have no consistent level or sorting information on them (thanks Blizz) Enchanting is the worst mixing in low level and high level enchants randomly. I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to make a custom sort for this. Is there something I missed or is there a way to edit the difficult level of recipes in the list?
