About Skillet

Skillet: A trade skill window replacement

Skillet is a replacement for the default tradeskill and craft UI, and is based on ATSW, by Slarti. This is not a continuation of ATSW, which is still going strong as far as I know, but is rather a brand new mod based in the ideas in ATSW.

The more I use this addon the more I like it.  Thank you for keeping it working.  I don't quite understand how to make a custom grouping.  I am an engineer, and I want to have a group with all my crafted pets, and the crafted items it takes to make them.  I have figured out how to make and rename a custom group, and how to select recipes from the list, but then I don't know what to do.  It would be great if you could post directions on exactly what steps to take to make a custom group.  Thanks in advance.

I was wondring if there was any way you could make the skilet window wider? Or do something with the craft PVP items. on my screen the stupid "Crafted Dreadful Gladiator's Armplates of Alacity" wraps along with all variations... It makes a very odd looking page of skills.

  • #703

There's a handle in the bottom right corner of the window.  You can grab it and resize the window however you'd like.

The "Queue craftable reagents" feature works randomly and infrequently for me.  My long-term example is Imperial Silk.  Skillet has absolutely and forever refused to auto-queue the bolts of Windwool Cloth if I did not have them available.  I simply get the "Missing reagent" message.

In a more recent example, I attempted to create a Sha Crystal with Enchanting yesterday, thinking I had the mats in my bags.  I was mistaken, I had placed them in the bank, but I was very surprised to see that Skillet automatically queued up the necessary reagents.  It wasn't just one step, either.  I only had 4 Ethereal Shards and 4 Mysterious Essences in my bags, but I had tons of Spirit Dust.  It auto-queued the Dust>Essence transform, the Essence>Shard transform, and finally the Shard>Crystal transform.  As I hadn't made my Imperial Silk for the day yet, and knew I didn't have the bolts to do it, I tried that next, but it still just threw the missing reagent error.

Here's the strange part:  After my suprising success with the Sha Crystal yesterday, I just attempted to make today's Crystal, knowing that my reagents were in a similar situation as yesterday.  It didn't work.  I had two Ethereal Shards and about 30 Essences, so all it needed to do was queue two steps today (Essence>Shard and Shard>Crystal) instead of the three steps yesterday, but it was no good.  It just returned the "Missing reagent: Ethereal Shard" message and halted.

Any ideas what might be going on here?

What would really be nice is to have an addon like this allow you to search for items by item level required; in effect, say i have a blacksmith who is wanting to great gear for a leveling alt.  I could search for the gear that is required by, say, level 55 to 60 and display the results that I have recipes for.  I've always wanted a function like this and no one has it.

  • #697

I get this error whenever I click an ink in the create glyph window or any precrafted reagent in other proffessions so I can see the mats needed(pigments, etc) for that particular recipe.

I like your addon but it doesnt process multiple different recipies that i queue? Each time it hits a new kind in the queue it stops crafting? Is there a "process all" function? gets really annoying when im multitasking and i have to hit the button every time for my queue to continue onto the next set. what is the point in a queue if you sitl have to manually start it each and every changed recipe? Using current version. ty

  • #699

This is a Blizzard limitation.  You can't queue up 5 different recipes and click 'Go' to have them all complete. No addon does this because Blizzard doesn't allow it. You have to click 'Go' on each different task.

  • #696

I believe that this is a limitation that Blizzard put on crafting to cut down on people bott'ing crafting goods.

  • #695

As far as I know, Blizzard won't actually LET addons do that.  You have to click a button for each new type of item being crafted.

  • #693

Same problem as others. I am using the newest version 2.43(as is my wife), and we both have the issue of randomized recipes showing up. Sometimes it works fine, other times when i open a skill tab, i have a random number of recipes showing or no recipes at all. Only having the problem with 'crafting' skills though.

  • #692

Ever since the latest patch I've had to disable this addon, everytime I try and port somewhere on my mage the game locks up, or if I just try and take a portal anywhere on any other toon same happens, Using the latest version. Any suggestions? I'm really missing this addon to.
