  • How to search in the item name only? - Start your search phrase with exclamation mark: !ink
  • How to search in Auction House? - Alt+Click on shopping list
  • How to retrieve items from bank? - Turn on "Display shopping list at banks"

The "Queue craftable reagents" feature works randomly and infrequently for me.  My long-term example is Imperial Silk.  Skillet has absolutely and forever refused to auto-queue the bolts of Windwool Cloth if I did not have them available.  I simply get the "Missing reagent" message.

In a more recent example, I attempted to create a Sha Crystal with Enchanting yesterday, thinking I had the mats in my bags.  I was mistaken, I had placed them in the bank, but I was very surprised to see that Skillet automatically queued up the necessary reagents.  It wasn't just one step, either.  I only had 4 Ethereal Shards and 4 Mysterious Essences in my bags, but I had tons of Spirit Dust.  It auto-queued the Dust>Essence transform, the Essence>Shard transform, and finally the Shard>Crystal transform.  As I hadn't made my Imperial Silk for the day yet, and knew I didn't have the bolts to do it, I tried that next, but it still just threw the missing reagent error.

Here's the strange part:  After my suprising success with the Sha Crystal yesterday, I just attempted to make today's Crystal, knowing that my reagents were in a similar situation as yesterday.  It didn't work.  I had two Ethereal Shards and about 30 Essences, so all it needed to do was queue two steps today (Essence>Shard and Shard>Crystal) instead of the three steps yesterday, but it was no good.  It just returned the "Missing reagent: Ethereal Shard" message and halted.

Any ideas what might be going on here?

What would really be nice is to have an addon like this allow you to search for items by item level required; in effect, say i have a blacksmith who is wanting to great gear for a leveling alt.  I could search for the gear that is required by, say, level 55 to 60 and display the results that I have recipes for.  I've always wanted a function like this and no one has it.

I get this error whenever I click an ink in the create glyph window or any precrafted reagent in other proffessions so I can see the mats needed(pigments, etc) for that particular recipe.

I like your addon but it doesnt process multiple different recipies that i queue? Each time it hits a new kind in the queue it stops crafting? Is there a "process all" function? gets really annoying when im multitasking and i have to hit the button every time for my queue to continue onto the next set. what is the point in a queue if you sitl have to manually start it each and every changed recipe? Using current version. ty

  • #699

This is a Blizzard limitation.  You can't queue up 5 different recipes and click 'Go' to have them all complete. No addon does this because Blizzard doesn't allow it. You have to click 'Go' on each different task.

  • #696

I believe that this is a limitation that Blizzard put on crafting to cut down on people bott'ing crafting goods.

  • #695

As far as I know, Blizzard won't actually LET addons do that.  You have to click a button for each new type of item being crafted.

  • #693

Same problem as others. I am using the newest version 2.43(as is my wife), and we both have the issue of randomized recipes showing up. Sometimes it works fine, other times when i open a skill tab, i have a random number of recipes showing or no recipes at all. Only having the problem with 'crafting' skills though.

  • #692

Ever since the latest patch I've had to disable this addon, everytime I try and port somewhere on my mage the game locks up, or if I just try and take a portal anywhere on any other toon same happens, Using the latest version. Any suggestions? I'm really missing this addon to.

  • #690

Skillet has been messing up more and more often for me since 5.2. Lots of times I'll open a profession window and either it simply doesn't open, or it'll show a blank recipe list or it'll show a random selection of recipes that I cant sort through. Opening a profession window during combat almost always results in a bugged recipe list.

  • #691

Which Skillet version? Only the latest should work fine and it was released not so long ago.

  • #689

    Hello,
I don't know which version of Skillet you have used, but as you might read here we had some serius issues after patch 5.2 and it was caused by an undocumented change (bug) in one of the Wow functions. Unfortunatelly even the initial workaround was not perfect - it was working sometimes, and sometimes not. You must know, that there is no real documentation for the wow API and every patch is
a lottery. If Blizzard introduces a bug, many of the addons suffer. It happened after 5.0 (problems with Glyph frame) and it happened now.
Skillet itself also has some bugs (grouping features need some love), but main functionalities used by most of the people should work stable.

I downloaded this as an alternative for ATSW a couple of nights ago and that's all it's done is glitch. It lags when I try to open my professions, now and again it just won't open at all and tonight when I click tailoring, it opens inscription. 6 times out of 10 it refuses to load any of the items I can make.  When it does load the items sometimes I can't click on them or filtering doesn't work.

I do like what the author is trying to do with this mod. I like how it skips things when you don't have the ingredients instead of stopping dead. It just needs an awful lot more work. I look forward to seeing it further on in it's development when some of the bugs have been fixed.

  • #685

Im never using this one again.  Downloaded it earlier, installed it (clean install mind you, I had no settings left behind or whatever, I use the Curse Client to keep that stuff clean), then I started a new priest alt, went and learned his professions, bought ingredients to level up cooking first.  In trying to make Spice Bread, this addon did NOTHING.  All I could do was queue the bread.  Create, Create All, Process, etc. did absolutely nothing.  The way I see it, and correct me if Im wrong, a trade skills addon should be able to ASSIST you with your trade skills, am I right?

I fixed the problem by logging out of the game, launching Curse Client, and deleting this garbage from my game.  Here's to better results for other people, Im sure this has to work for someone.  I just know it isnt me.

All I want is a simple trade skills addon that is doublewide (WTF is Blizzard thinking by not expanding their frame by now), and one that helps me queue up items.  That's it.  I dont need any other functions.  I dont need it to buy mats for me, I dont need it to estimate disenchantment results, I just need a bigger interface than the native, and one whose CREATE buttons WORK.

    sigh
