ABOUT
This addon was created for fun (and as my first go at coding for WoW) to add some of the South Park sounds to the game of World Of Warcraft. It is in tribute (!) to the, now famous, South Park Episode 'Make Love Not Warcraft' where Kyle, Stan and friends are fighting to defeat 'he who has no life' by 'killing boars'! (If you have never seen this - I would highly recommend you do! I watch it still now and find yet more references to the game that I missed while still being a 'noob'!
To be honest it was watching that episode that got me into Warcraft in the first place! and after playing for a while and asking in the WoW Forums if this could be done - I took out the challenge to try and create something myself. This is my first ever addon and may well be the last! (unless we get a Timmy2!) that is done to add a bit of fun to this already great game.
Credit must go for this to the chaps that hang out in the WoW IRC channel - to which without their help I would not have been able to do this (you know who you guys are - cheers again).
I must also mention that this addon makes use of the 'Telepathy' addon to send messages around within the game - no need to re-invent a wheel and this is a great tool.

Forgot to mention...
The guys at South Park for doing the episode that got the ball rolling! (hopefully I haven't trodden on anyone's
toes too much by using the sound snippets (beg grovvel :-) )
Installation
Unzip to your Addons Directory - let it create its subdirs - enable it from WoW!

Comments
If it loads ok - you should see a status line come up in the chat window as WoW loads your addons.
It is as simple as typing '/timmy' '/kenny' and now '/cartman' (Less the quotes) and pressing enter.
As long as sound it on you should then hear your own character shout the phrase and do either 'point' 'question' or 'flex' gestures. If you dont get any of that - something hasn't loaded correctly.
If you want others to 'hear' your shouts then they will also need to have {slash}Timmy installed and running, subsequently - you can then also hear them.
If others dont have it going then they just see you 'pointing' and 'flexing' as {slash}Timmy uses the standard WoW gestures in the game (just to add a visual element)

In answer to your question - yes it does use / create a channel called GlobalComm. The addon itself uses a communications library that 'works around' the fact that WoW does not allow chat between none 'partied / guilded/ raided' groups. Without it you couldnt 'hear' if some one random was shouting Timmy! without being partied with them, which defeats its objective. The workaround is to use a 'private' chat channel that all users of {Slash}Timmy (and other addons) can use to send system messages over.

sounds like fun, specially on my warrior when charging! lol
You can be the only one with this addon to hear when you 'timmy' but, if other players have it loaded (and your within shouting distance) then when you 'timmy' they will hear it too! - so the more the merrier (especially when you are in a populated area!)
