Description

Sound Remover - Eat and Drink replaces in game eating and drinking sound effect files with silence.

This is a simple sound patch to replace unwanted in game sounds in your user interface . NOTE: Once this patch has been installed you will no longer hear the eating and drinking sound effects when ANY character, including your own, eats or drinks.

!!!Do not use the Curse Client!!!

Since Sound Remover and other "mods/addons" of this ilk are not really "addons" in the traditional sense this does not go in to the Interface folder, nor will the Curse Client even attempt to install it due to its blatant lack of "addon-ness". Barring any further Cataclysm's, updates should not be necessary.

How it works

First and foremost, the directory structure provided in the .zip file must be maintained for this to work. Follow the provided directions below carefully.

Sound files may be placed in the Data folder to override the in game defaults. With this patch,the sound files associated with in game actions eating and drinking are replaced with the empty sound files included in SoundRemover_Eat_and_Drink.zip. This patch will affect ALL instances in which the eating and drinking sound effects are used by your game client, including your Player Characters and NPCs

How to install if you have no other sound patches/mods/addons installed

1. Click the Download Button to manually download the "addon" file (Do not use the Curse Client, it will not do anything with this patch)
2. Save the file to your computer when prompted
3. Look in your World of Warcraft\Data folder for a folder named "Sounds". If you already have this folder STOP!, and follow the instructions for How to install another sound patch... beginning with step 3 below.
4. Copy SoundRemover_Eat_and_Drink.zip from the downloads folder of your computer.
5. Extract SoundRemover_Eat_and_Drink.zip into the World of Warcraft\Data folder. ( My Computer\Program Files\World of Warcraft\Data) This will result in a new folder named Sound inside of the Data folder.

The directory structure provided in the unzipped file must be maintained for this to work. This patch does NOT go in the Interface folder When finished you should have:

• Directory (folder) structure in your World of Warcraft folder. \World of Warcraft\Data\Sound\Interface
• 2 .wav files inside of the Interface folder

How to install another sound patch/mod/addon
