SpartanUI

Is designed to free your screen by moving a majority of the interface elements to the bottom. It is the new look for World of Warcraft. Originally Created by Ansu of Dalaran (aka Atriace) it is now managed and maintained by Libidos of Azgalor. You can now join the project on facebook where i will be posting polls and asking other general questions about the direction of the addon.

Disable oUF if you have it installed, This is a addon library used for unit frames SpartanUI has this built in and having a version not compatible with SpartanUI will break things.

F.A.Q

Q. How do i Move my focus/party/raid?

A. As of 3.1 All frames are now movable by holding Alt and dragging no need to unlock or lock them with a command or button.

Q. I changed a option but nothing changed.

A. Some of the new options in 3.1 for Raid/Party Frames require a /reload to be done after changing them, no it will not always be like this but in order to get it out in time for MOP launch day some convenience had to be sacrificed.

    Does anybody know anybody with a 1280 x 854 resolution or a 6 x 4 screen? Do they even exist? SpartanUI needs to fix that by making it a much more common resolution 1280 x 800.

    Worked for me at 1280x1024 straight out of setup. removed my other addons, backup my old savedvariables, moved my new stuff in, /sui and there we go :)


    There are a few problems with this addon that make it less than ideal.

    1) A bug in the simpleMinimap version causes some panels to overlap (such as your character, tradeskill, and trade windows). Updating sM will resolve this issue.

    \2) The party unit frames are not very informative, and do not make good use of the space they take up. They don't even display the class of your party members, and the level is hard to notice.

    3) Your target's class is not displayed. Big thing that needs fixed.

    4) No extra space set aside for your focus. Most unit frames (ag, discord, etc) will let you set a focus not on top of your target so you can watch both at once. I managed to move mine to where a pet would normally be, but now that I'm frost (mage) this is troublesome.

    5) Your buffmod just seems thrown in there, with no real integration or care to the rest of the mod. Sure, a good buffbar to be sure, but it feels out of place, in the way, and clunky. Some consideration and integration for the next version would be appropriate.

    6) And finally, a tip. You can do away with Bartender hiding your mainbar like that by using minimenu for fubar (At least I think that's what it's called.) Which puts it right up there out of the way.

    A nice addon, I enjoyed using it but will discontinue at this point due to my need for things which I cannot seem to integrate on my own. I will likely give it another shot down the road if you keep it updated!

    I was finally able to re-adjust bartender and the UI scale (but default chat area is too small). About the characters' stuff... what addon is using that or the commands?

    i'm using 1440*900 and it's too small with me too , i tried to rescale my ui scale in video options , but it is rubbish then , i hope u can help us

    I agree with Jender, however, I am using 1440x900. Can't change that... is there commands in which we can manually adjust the sizes of everything?

    This is a great interface but everything is really small and barely readable, is there anyway to fix this?

    Will this work with 1028 x 768 resolution? cause that's my resolution? and it's not listed

    it needs to be noted that altho 1280x1024 does configure....the chat boxes don't have room on the bar unless you want to make them 10characters worth wide. Is there a solution to this? I know most people dont have widescreen monitors. Where are yall putting the chat boxes?

    This is one amazing UI in my opinion. It's lightweight, simple and fits very well into the natural look of the game, as intended. As a suggestion though, you could make things like core packs/ultimate packs if you have time :) so those people who want things like raid mods can get them straight from you, pre programmed.

    Well, for a workaround for not having the raidsymbols on the portrait, install ag_unitframes and turn off all frames (in ag_unitframes) except the "target" frame, then resize the fram and turn off all of the text and make sure the "raid symbol" box is checked, then stick the small frame underneath the target portrait.

    Ugly, but makes this beautiful and well done UI work in a raid :)

    When I dive, my breath bar doesn't appear. And my buffs are clipped by the information bar at the top when I use the Hunter profile. Any way to fix these?

    I don't suppose you will eventually have this dont for the 1600+ resolutions? I love the way this UI is set up, but I have a 22" widescreen monitor and nothing shows up correctly when I install this UI.
