F.A.Q

Q. How do i Move my focus/party/raid?

A. As of 3.1 All frames are now movable by holding Alt and dragging no need to unlock or lock them with a command or button.

Q. I changed a option but nothing changed.

A. Some of the new options in 3.1 for Raid/Party Frames require a /reload to be done after changing them, no it will not always be like this but in order to get it out in time for MOP launch day some convenience had to be sacrificed.

Slash Commands

  • /sui (Shows options window)
  • /spin (Toggles Spin Cam)
  • /sui version (Shows which version of SpartanUI you are using)

Features

  • Uses very little third-party code in an effort to remain self-contained
  • Almost zero-setup allows you to install and use it without tons of configuration
  • Support for almost any screen resolution, while favoring widescreen
  • SpinCam - provides a spinning camera effect when AFK
  • FilmEffects - which provide film-like grain effects on your screen
  • Party frames designed to go with the look and style of your player frames
  • Designed to use very little processor time or memory
  • All original artwork with high-res textures and 1:1 ratio for 30" displays
  • Built in reputation and experience bars
  • Integrated coordinates and zone information
  • UnitFrames that fit in with the overall design
  • Profiles - with options being rewrote SpartanUI will now support profiles
  • Minimal slash commands
  • Raid frames with healer mode and DPS mode. One focuses on a quick overview while healer mode will draw attention to those low on health and larger frames than in dps mode
  • Focus Fame and focus Target have been redesigned and are movable
  • All frames are now movable by holding Alt and dragging.

I dowloaded this UI yesterday and I absolutely love it. Brilliantly done, with great play-ability and I loved the easy set-up. I had a slight issue w/ SimpleMiniMap when I got it, but that was my own doing =D. The only question/concern I had now is; Why is my screen so fuzzy?

This UI is excellent. I absolutely love it's ability to function without the trouble of reconfiguring the WTF folder. It's stylish, sleek, and close to low usage. This is definately my favorite ui of all time. This probably deserves an 11 out of 10, but since I'm bound to the terms of my.. wait.. er..

    1280x1024 Supported!

Fixes, improvements, and additions are in the changelog. Also, SpartanUI.com now has a videos section! Be sure to check out the new screenshots while you're there.

Ronnif: For anyone having trouble installing, there's a walkthrough video on installing the UI at: http://www.spartanui.com/videos.html

And no. You're Mac will work fine. I even built it on a Mac.

Xiphus: 1024x768, and every other low-resolution screen has had a major update/improvement in function and usability. Download the latest version and see for yourself. ;)

Bratiboy: For anyone experience small chat-window text issues, simply right-click on the chat-window tab and increase the font size.

Thank you for your comments and for trying it out. Cheers!

i dont have the supported rations but i setted it to 1280x960 and changed the ui scale to 0.64 and no its nearly perfect. only the chat windows are a little to small but i dont mind Brat

I'm waiting for 1280x1024, but the UI looks very nice.

I really like the way this looks from the Screenshots. But for some reason it doesnt work for me and when i try to paste the files over into the Addon/savevariables folders. Anyone else having this issue?

  • #10

This is a rather good UI, but it seems to mess up its action bars at 1024x768 resolution (the maximum I can use on my graphics card). The action bar kinds of shift down and to the left.

  • #9

How do you move the tool tip. It's in the worst place for me. I need to move it and I can't find that option anywhere!

  • #8

OK, I'm either stupid, or this won't work on a Mac....It's been downloaded to the proper folders, but it isn't even showing on my Add-On list. Not sure if it would or not...so when I type /spartanui OR /sui while in game, I get a message that prompts me to ask for help with chat functions. So....I'm just guessing here...doesn't look like it works on a Mac. If it is SUPPOSED to work on a Mac, please let me know what to do to make that happen! Thanks!

Im trying this UI now, and so far, it looks really good =)

not perfekt with my Resolution (1280x960), as the whole UI pane becomes slightly small, but other than that, neat UI =)
