I found a bug how do i tell you? How do i request a feature?

Please, open a ticket on the web or right click on SpartanUI in Curse client and select "Report a Bug" .

Q. How do i Move my focus/party/raid?

A. As of 3.1 All frames are of the mentioned frames are movable by holding Alt and dragging no need to unlock or lock them with a command or button.

Q. I changed a option but nothing changed.

A. Some of the new options in 3.1 for Raid/Party Frames require a /reload to be done after changing them, no it will not always be like this but in order to get it out in time for MOP launch day some convenience had to be sacrificed.

  • Uses very little third-party code in an effort to remain self-contained
  • Almost zero-setup allows you to install and use it without tons of configuration
  • Support for almost any screen resolution, while favoring widescreen
  • SpinCam - provides a spinning camera effect when AFK
  • FilmEffects - which provide film-like grain effects on your screen
  • Party frames designed to go with the look and style of your player frames
  • Designed to use very little processor time or memory
  • All original artwork with high-res textures and 1:1 ratio for 30" displays
  • Built in reputation and experience bars
  • Integrated coordinates and zone information
  • UnitFrames that fit in with the overall design
  • Profiles - with options being rewrote SpartanUI will now support profiles
  • Minimal slash commands
  • Raid frames with healer mode and DPS mode. One focuses on a quick overview while healer mode will draw attention to those low on health and larger frames than in dps mode
  • Focus Fame and focus Target have been redesigned and are movable
  • All frames are now movable by holding Alt and dragging.

I've had something happen to me twice now.

I log on and my Player frame and Target frame are back up in the default area. Top left. But they look oddly colored and very square.

I cant figure out how to get them back to where they need to be. The only thing I can do is to completely take out Spartan and put it back in. But, I don't want to have to configure my buttons and everything again.

I get no errors. Just frames moving and/sui doesnt fix it...

_-edit-_ I've decided to take Spartan out. Its unfortunate but having to go back through and rekey and readjust everything is just not worth it.

    nice mod:)

.. but, im running 1280x1024 or 5x4, but i cant make my chat fit in with the dart unless the the chat is gonna be incredible small, how come?

I had a few issues with getting this mod to fully work; at first I received errors when people sent me tells, but I believe I got everything straightened out. However, I was wondering how to move the group portraits around. They used to load in the bottom left with the last version but now they load in the top left, and I rather liked them in the bottom left. Also, with them in the top left, I'm having an issue listing things on the auction house while in a party. Things don't want to stick into the auction window for listing. I think it's because of the portraits behind the auction window but I'm not sure.

I finally got the Ui Working and It's incredible, there is only one thing that it needs, and I believe someone mentioned it, Scaling. The ui/action bars are very very small and hard to see, other than that this is the best UI that i have ever used.

  • #29

Looks like some sort of FuBar issue. Try disabling individual FuBar items until it goes away.

If you find what's causing it, please let me know. :)

Ya i got a ? after every once in awhile i get an error message about my chat box and it wont go away It reads Interface\FrameXML\ChatFrame.lua:2580:attempt to concatenate global 'arg11' (a nil value) whats should I do to fix this?

  • #27

I'll be adding a FAQ page to when I get the chance. Until then....

dtsmicah: Tooltip location is handled by CT_Core. Type /ct and go to the Core panel. At the bottom is "Tooltip Relocation". Check the box and re-place.

adaroundtown: lol. No, there's no relation to that other one. Just found it myself too. Funny. As for the chatwindow on one-side only and moving the btn bars to the right, yeah, I've already thought of that (i.e., look at the Beta screenshots with Kaood or Emilyanne). I'm working on a secondary option for people who want an alternate setup, but that won't come for some time.

ComradeChase: SUI relies on other mods to do its work, at this time. Unfortunately, UI Scale breaks those mods. As I've said elsewhere, I'm working on making SpartanUI independent of those mods to fix that, but that won't come for some time as it would be a much bigger job than the original UI.

chewchewbarz: Wow, that is a "bug." Blizzard has different setups for each class which it appears I'll have to mimic in the future. For now, just use Bartender to replace the 3rd bar with a different one it doesn't switch too (ie., bar 10).

Sorry for the double post, but I believe Ive encountered a bug. I play a druid, and when I go to cat form, my main action bar changes. Then, when I go to stealth it changes again. Before I had this addon, it didnt change the second time (or at least, I didnt notice it) but now, it changes. It wouldnt really be a problem, but the bar it changes to the second time is the one on the far right (the 4x3 bar/box). I can fix it by putting the buttons I want on that same bar, but it would dislocate everything that was already there. I do not know if this is a bug, or if it is a simple setting I can change in one of the addons that came w/ SpartanUI. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I dowloaded this UI yesterday and I absolutely love it. Brilliantly done, with great play-ability and I loved the easy set-up. I had a slight issue w/ SimpleMiniMap when I got it, but that was my own doing =D. The only question/concern I had now is; Why is my screen so fuzzy?

  • #24

This UI is excellent. I absolutely love it's ability to function without the trouble of reconfiguring the WTF folder. It's stylish, sleek, and close to low usage. This is definately my favorite ui of all time. This probably deserves an 11 out of 10, but since I'm bound to the terms of my.. wait.. er..

Fixes, improvements, and additions are in the changelog. Also, now has a videos section! Be sure to check out the new screenshots while you're there.

Ronnif: For anyone having trouble installing, there's a walkthrough video on installing the UI at:

And no. You're Mac will work fine. I even built it on a Mac.

Xiphus: 1024x768, and every other low-resolution screen has had a major update/improvement in function and usability. Download the latest version and see for yourself. ;)

Bratiboy: For anyone experience small chat-window text issues, simply right-click on the chat-window tab and increase the font size.

Thank you for your comments and for trying it out. Cheers!
