About SpellFlash: ReSham

NOTICE! THIS PROJECT HAS BEEN DISCONTINUED.

SpellFlash: ReSham makes suggestions of what abilites you may want to use next by flashing on top of the spell buttons. It is used to maximize DPS as an Enhancement or Elemental Shaman or to help you easily keep track of your shields as Restoration.

Requirements
- This plugin requires SpellFlash to function.

Configuration
You may configure ReSham to ignore certain talent trees as well as disable flashing while resting or not in combat. To open the Options window, just type:

/resham

Enhancement Priority List
- Buffs (Weapons, Lightning Shield)
- Searing Totem
- Stormstrike
- Lava Lash
- Lightning Bolt (if 5 stacks of Maelstrom)
- Unleash Elements
- Flame Shock (if Unleash Flame is up)
- Earth Shock
- Fire Nova (if Magma or Fire Elemental totem is active)

Elemental Priority List
- Buffs (Lightning Shield, Flametongue Weapon)
- Totems (Searing Totem, Wrath of Air Totem)
- Flame Shock
- Lava Burst (if off cooldown)
- Earth Shock (if you have 8 or more Lightning Shield charges)
- Lightning Bolt

Restoration
- Earth Shield monitoring alerts you if no active buff is detected in your party or raid or when one or fewer charges remain on your current buff.
- Checks for your essential totems (Flametongue, Healing Stream Totem, Wrath of Air Totem).
- Monitors your two important buffs; Water Shield and Earthliving Weapon.

Looking Forward
- Support for lower level Shamans

  • Fixed an issue with weapon buffs. The spell icons will no longer continually flash.
  • Updated the spell priority list for the Enhancement rotation.
  • Experimental: Changed the way Flame Shock is handled in the Enhancement rotation. The following sequential conditions now apply:
    • If the player has the Unleash Flame buff and the buff duration is between 1 and 4 seconds, Flame Shock will flash in order to prevent wasting the Unleash Flame buff.
    • If the Flame Shock debuff duration on your target is less than or equal to 4 seconds and you do not have the Unleash Flame buff and the cooldown on Unleash Elements is greater than or equal to 3 seconds, Flame Shock will flash in order to keep your dot active.
    • If you have the Unleash Flame buff, Flame Shock will flash.
  • Changed the way totems are handled in the Elemental rotation. Searing Totem will not flash if you already have a Fire Elemental Totem on the ground.
  • Included Heroism support for Alliance Shaman (oops).

Version 1.3.5

  • ReSham will now be enabled while out of combat by default. You will still find the option to disable this feature in the configuration window.
  • Totem flashing has been moved to a separate function. Your main damage dealing rotation will now continue to flash regardless of the status of your totems.

    I would dearly appreciate an update to this :D I didn't start useing SpellFlash till 4.2 & I have baby Shammy's. Would be awesome to use it from low levels n up instead of just all of the been there done that chars. :D

    windfury weapon and flametongue weapon seem to flash non-stop. Is this a known error?

    It is now. I've fixed it in the upcoming update.

    I'm getting the same thing on my end, glad to know it's not just an issue with me. Flashing stops briefly after applying Windfury Weapon/Flametongue Weapon but then goes right back to flashing non-stop.

    Great add-on. One thing I think that would make it better is if Fire Elemental Totem was a higher priority than searing flame (at least for elemental). When I drop my Elemental, searing flame still flashes and I sometimes click it too soon and cancel my Elemental by accident :(

    This will be in the next update. Such checks are already in place for Enhancement. Sorry for the oversight :)

    Heya I love this addon help's tremendously with my enhance rotation, only thing I would suggest to make it a bit better is having it flash on the next spell to use when your current spells are on CD. The way it works now is it doesn't flash until the spell comes off CD, would make it a bit easier. None the less its still a wonderful addon.

    Hello Brendon!

    Great addon. I've turned to it to cover my enh rotation, as shockandawe is broken. I've found that spellflash and your module are more intuitive, and will be using both going forward. Thanks for the work and the accurate max dps rotation priority.

    Just a note though; with 4.1 Fire Nova has been taken off the respective fire totems and moved to the target of the shaman's Flame Shock. The Nova does AOE damage around this target, but does not damage the target itself.

    If you have time, we'd appreciate an update of the module to account for this change. Thanks again!

    I have released version 1.3.5. Please be aware that I have moved totem flashing to a separate function. This ensures your main damage dealing rotation will now continue to flash regardless of the status of your totems.

    Hey, i havnt tried your addon yet, im currently looking for a shaman rotation(priority) addon, and yours look good, tho may i suggest getting the prio list as enhancement to be
    1) Feral Spirit
    2) Lightning Bolt only when Maelstrom Weapon = 5
    3) Searing Totem
    4) Lava Lash
    5) Unleash Elements
    6) Flame Shock if dot is not up
    7) Earth Shock
    8) Stormstrike
    Lightning Shield is kept active
    Windfury Weapon Main Hand
    Flametongue Weapon Off Hand
    ^Taken from maxdps.com, Seems your priority list is kinda wrong acordingly to flame shock since our mastery now buffs it alot. :) Just a suggestion ^^
