About Sunn - Viewport Art
Sunn's Viewport Art allows you to change the size of the rendered world area (viewport) and adds textured artwork in the non-rendered areas.
New: Dual-spec profile switching.
Problems? See the Frequently Asked Questions
Usage
Use "/sunnart" (or "/sa") for the options gui. Use "/sunnart help" for console commands
Panels
There are 4 panels in SunnArt, top, bottom, left and right. By default each will use the same theme although they can be set up with different themes, overlaps and dimensions using the advanced options.
Art Packs
Art packs are optional and should be installed as if they were separate addons (although they are useless without the SunnArt addon).
Extract the zipped folder into your interface/addons folder for it to function.
Previews of the artwork in the packs are available in the screenshots on this page.
Art Packs are available on this site
- Art Pack 1
- Art Pack 2
- Art Pack 3
- Art Pack 4
- Art Pack 5
- Art Pack 6
- Art Pack 7 (Alliance)
- Art Pack 8 (Horde)
- Art Pack 9
- Art Pack 10 (Warcraft 3)
- Art Pack 11 (Cataclysm)
There are other art packs available that have been submitted by users. Search for "Sunn" on Curse or check for Optional Files on WoWInterface.
Custom Artwork
Artwork from any standard panels addon may be used with SunnArt. Just set them up using the in-game interface or by editting CustomTheme.lua.
File formats
- Files must be .TGA or .BLP format
- Be sure to set the alpha channel if your artwork contains any transparency
- Panels can be constructed from 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 separate sections, numbered from left to right (eg. <art file>1.tga, <art file>2.tga ... <art file>5.tga)
- Each section MUST have dimensions that are a power of 2 (ie, 128, 256, 512, 1024 etc) - this is a limitation of all artwork to be used in WoW.
- Only files within the Interface\Addons\ structure are available to the addon
Using CustomTheme.lua
- Save your artwork sections in Interface\Addons\SunnArt
- Open CustomTheme.lua in any text editor
- Follow the instructions in the file
- Any number of themes can be set up in CustomTheme.lua
Using the in-game interface
All you need to know is the path to the artwork files, the amount of overlap and the number of sections the artwork is split into. Enter these into the Advanced options screen, Enter a name for your theme and click save. The theme will now be available to all your characters.
Submitting Artwork
I'm looking for a talented artist or two to help create a new Art Pack. Please submit your editted files or a complete screen-size file so that I may split it into compatible files and create a "How-To" tutorial for others.
If you have artwork that you would like to submit for Art Pack 10 and onward, please mail it to sunnart@uksf.com and if I like it then I will include it in the next release.
Recommended Addons
These are some addons that will help organise your UI so that elements may be moved off the world screen and into the artwork areas of this addon. All of these addons use the same libraries as Sunn Viewport Art, which means alot of the code and resources are re-used rather than bloating your UI with lots of different code that does that same thing.
Action Bars - Dominos or Bartender4
Minimap - BasicMinimap and Minimap Button Frame or SexyMap
Chat Frame - Prat

Anyone please tell me what packs this background comes ? i already download all packs but i dont found this background.. Ty. http://www.curse.com/addon-packs/wow/warlock-addon-pack-by-7366 <--
Took awhile to figure out how to add the custom artwork, but I got it figured out finally! My HUD is done...
http://tinypic.com/m/fa3e5l/3
I've used this addon for about 3 months now and I really enjoy the option to make your own personal art bar, still trying to figure out how you did the transparent features but this is what I'm using atm:

Cheers for the addon mate, my whole UI is based on it!
How did you get your name in that font on the bottom left corner
how the hell did u doo that? ive downloaded some of the cataclysm and pack 1-2 n such, and noone have options like pics, names and color :) how u do that :D
I used Photoshop. The author explains where you have to save the files and that you have to number them since the whole bar is put together by 4 pictures, so it gets tricky. If you know how to use Photoshop I suggest you try and open those "targa" files that come with the addon and modify them, it takes time but it's worth it :P
Would it be possible to choose a layer UNDER the Background for the artwork?
Currently the artwork is overlaying some elements of the chat. For example the addon "Postal" uses graphics to display gold amounts in the chat.
And the default UI uses graphics to show what role a player chose in a raid or group (dd, heal or tank).
Hope you like it and find it useful.

i'm using the purple d3 theme on my lock. ty again
thx for print, downloading mod asap
other than that you need to make more themes without cartoons on it starting with a bloody one for my blood dk, unholy ghoulish theme, melted greenish/purple affliction lock theme, yellowish one with sharp pointyness for a rogue,Cata one is perfect for shaman so thats covered,Need more yellow paladin type themes right now im using an elven one for my paladin but it looks like its more for a druid. ice one is perfect for mage, but there really isn't any decent arcane themes only one that looks like it'd go with arcane is bad.
however, this is one of my new fav addons thank you for that. hope you guys continue to make new themes. also, this is a request, please make a Few diabloiii themes like illidan one but also one without a cartoon character. i'm a huge fan of Cata bottom theme here is a screen shot of my shaman's ui i rolled out last weekend. the way that theme is set up gives a perfect accent to diablo3orbs i use
http://s1224.photobucket.com/albums/ee366/pwnbusiness/?action=view¤t=shamanui2.jpg
please do more like that or even use that theme and change the colors to bloody theme for a blood dk or unholy green ghoulish ect.
but yeah i've been workin my x10 85s and sun art is like the perfect finishing touch on my custom ui's
thanks again all :D
