About TB Reputation Watcher

Features

Reputation Changes

TB Reputation Watcher automatically switches your watched faction whenever your reputation changes. This causes your reputation progress bar (above your experience bar) to reflect the faction that you are currently gaining favor with. Whether you want to watch reputation gains or losses is configurable via the Blizzard Interface menu (default: watch reputation gains).

Guild Reputation

TB Reputation Watcher may be configured to ignore guild reputation gains, simply because they frequently occur together with other reputation gains (default: watch guild reputation gains).

Inactive Factions

TB Reputation Watcher ignores factions you have marked as inactive. However, this option is configurable via the Blizzard Interface menu (default: ignore inactive factions).

In addition, inactive factions may optionally be marked as active once you start watching them (default: enabled). You must not be ignoring inactive factions for this setting to take effect.

Exalted Reputations

TB Reputation Watcher can optionally move factions you are exalted by to the Inactive section (default: disabled).

About the Author

I am a professional software engineer who plays World of WarCraft way too much and develops add-ons as a hobby (crazy, I know!). I have played the same character since the release of World of WarCraft, a hunter called Valana, in the Ridiculously Beautiful guild on the Magtheridon realm. I raid some, but my primary focus in this game is PvP.

Please donate to help keep this add-on going!

I thought i'd post that as of patch 4.2 and after painstakingly removing and adding my addons to find the culprit I discovered that this addon reduces my fps from 50-60 to 10-8. When addon is removed my fps is fine. Not sure if this is caused by the addon itself or a combination of certain things. Asking anyone to verify or assist?

Sorry, as of addon version r82, not patch 4.2...addon was fine until last update.

I have identified the issue. I'm working on a fix. Thanks for the report.

Hi Trulla and thank you so much for your report.

This error occurs if you have no inactive reputations, or no exalted reputations to mark as inactive.

Help, or if you mark at least one reputation as inactive, as a temporary workaround.

If you have exalted reputations, you may also have them all marked as inactive automatically through the configuration menu (/tbrep). The default is disabled by default since version r45-release. Enabling this option may fix the error for you as well.

    r45-release has been posted:
    * Updated for 4.0.3a.
    * Ignoring inactive factions and marking exalted factions as inactive are now configurable options.
    * Fixed a number of isolated bugs where factions were not properly watched or moved to inactive.

Translators: this release adds 4 new strings. Please help support this addon by providing the corresponding localizations!

Also, per Batisa's post, matching patterns (for reputation gains and losses) might have changed after 4.0.1, at least in the Russian client. I would appreciate if someone could review them.

    Thank you!

Hi there, seems it`s not working with russian client after 4.01.

Valana_TB - Is there any thing I could help you with?
  • #16
I haven't been able to resume maintaining my add-ons, but I'm currently using version r40 and it's working just fine on the North American 4.0.3 client. I'm guessing your problem might be caused by localization? What's the error you're getting?

If it's not localization-related, you could try replacing the Ace libraries shipped with Reputation Watcher to see if that helps.

I'm REALLY hoping that I can start working on these again over Thanksgiving.

I just bumped the 'Interface' comment in the .toc-file to 40000 and it seems to work alright.

    Hello,

Yes, I renewed my account with 4.0.1, and I am trying to catch up on things. Not having my add-ons has been crippling and I thank you for letting me know this one still works :) I plan on getting back to updating all the relevant ones within the next week or so.
