About Titan Panel [DualSpec]

A simple Titan addon for dual specs that displays your current spec on the Titan Panel button and allows you to easily switch specs with a simple left-click. This addon also allows you to assign your own names to the specs since people may have two specs in the same talent tree; eg, I currently have two resto builds, one for PvE and one for PvP. The tooltip displays additional build and talent information with, optional, colouring to show which spec is active.

Q: Does TitanSpec have any dependencies, other than TitanPanel itself?

No.

Q: How do I report a bug or request a feature?

Please use the ticketing system provided by Curse. This is greatly preferable to posting comments as it allows me to properly track them. While I love to receive comments, bug reports and feature requests will almost certainly require a ticket anyhow.

Q: Is there anything I can do to help?

  1. First (and the easiest) give this addon a good rating and add it to your favourites ;)
  2. Tell your friends about it.
  3. Translations.
  4. Testing and suggestions for new features, etc.
  5. Help with making the tooltip layout nicer.

    How do you setup gear? The is no menu option, right click dont work?? I see no gear selection options at all.

    I figured it out, i use the addon called Outfitter and never setup any sets in the equipment manager. As soon as i setup a set i could see the options in DualSpec. Also, because i use outfitter i dont require sets to change with dualspec because outfitter can automatically equip a set based on spec, but i do use this addon to see what spec im in and to swap specs. Nice addon!

    Hey great addon. I've added a few features to it though, if you are interested.

    My changes:

    1. The name of the gear the player is currently wearing is updated in real-time. I noticed that, before, if I changed gear, the gear set name was not updated. It always matched the gear that was assigned to my spec.

    2. Clicking on the button with no modifiers changes both spec and gear. Gear is equipped once the talent change is complete.
    - If the player clicks on the button while pressing the SHIFT key, then only the spec is changed.
    - Clicking on the button while pressing the ALT key toggles between gear sets, without changing specs.

    3. I have added a bindings.xml so that a player can have a one-key push button to change both spec and gear from the keyboard.

    4. Lastly, I've added a message filter to stop the spam from changing talents, (ie. "You have unlearned...")

    Am I doing something wrong, when I can't figure out how to set the gear spec with a talent? No matter how much I try, I can't find a way to set it up

    I just installed this addon, but it wont show up on my titan panel. I can see it in the addon selection screen, but the plugin wont show in the panel options. I've restarted the game several times, but to no avail. Anyone else had this problem?

    Look in the general section, it's called "Talents". If you named "DualSpec" it might be less confusing for people. =)

    You have to turn it on from within titan panel. new titan panel addons do not automatically appear on the bar for me. right click titan panel and use that menu to enable it.

    Huh, I'm not sure why that would be. I've not heard of that before. Is it still an issue? Are you seeing any lua errors?

    I'm having the same problem, i cant find the duel spec plugin from the titan pull down or in the interface addons area. No way for me to put on the bar. I'm assuming it may be bacause of another addon im using.

    It's called "Talents" under general section, not "DualSpec" like you might think.

    I liked it when the gear switched before the spec. That allowed me to do a quick gear switch for a new item comparison by clicking, then canceling the spec change. Could you include an option to change that so people can have before and after? Or, could you have an option to just equip a set without changing specs so I can free up a bar spot from my set macro?

    Hmm... yes, I'll try to maybe make a gear switching ability. Maybe another addon? Anyhow, likely not until the weekend.
