About TotemTimers

TotemTimers aims to help managing totems, shields, and weapon buffs, showing additional info about active totems (range, cooldowns) and provides additional totem sets. For enhancement shamans (and soon for ele/resto also) it provides additional timers displaying the cooldown of the most important spells and the number of Maelstrom Weapon stacks. TT supports ButtonFacade and rActionButtonStyler for customizing its appearance.

Localization

A big thanks to all who kept the localization of TT up-to-date. To make that easier I switched to the localization system at CurseForge. There you can find and edit missing entries more easily and you don't have to upload files anymore.

Manual

In TT the four totem timer buttons are referred to as Timers, the timer buttons for Reincarnation, shields and weapons are referred to as Trackers.

Hovering over a timer button opens a flyout menu containing buttons for all totems for that timer's element. Leftclicking a button casts that totem, rightclicking assigns that totem to the active multicast spell and to the timer button; leftclicking the timer button will then cast this totem. The assigned totem is displayed as a small icon (referred to as mini icon) in the lower right corner of the timer button. The last button of each flyout menu serves to delete a totem from the active multicast spell.

The weapon buff tracker also has a flyout menu: Leftclicking will cast a spell; rightclicking assigns it as the leftclick spell to the tracker button; shift-rightclicking assigns it as the rightclick spell to the tracker button (TT 10.1). The flyout menu contains two spell combos for enhancement shamans that can be assigned to the tracker button as leftclick only (by rightclick). Then the first leftclick on the tracker button casts Windfury Weapon, the second leftclick casts either Flametongue or Frostbrand.

Additional Totem Sets

The reincarnation (or ankh) tracker serves as an anchor for up to 8 totem sets. Rightclicking the ankh tracker saves the configuration of the active multicast spell. Leftclicking the ankh tracker opens a menu with all totem sets, each menu button displays four icons containing its saved totems. Leftclicking a menu buttons loads that set to the active multicast spell, overwriting the active totem configuration. Rightclicking a menu buttons deletes its set.

10.0
    - TT can replace the new totem bar, you select one of the new multicast spells with the new multicast button,
Totems selected by rightclick in the totem menus are assigned to the selected multicast spell.
A rightclick on the multicast button casts Totemic Recall (middleclick if menu is set to open on rightclick.)
    - Weapon Buff button now has a menu to choose buffs with a rightclick from
instead of its old GUI settings, atm this menu opens on rightclick only
(choose a weapon buff by rightclicking, cast it by leftclicking the weapon buff tracker,
if you selected one of the buff combos (wf/fl, wf/fb) cast twice).
    - Spell assigned to the Weapon Buff button is saved for each talent spec and is changed on
      talent spec switch
    - Set totem order by shift-dragging, you should even be able to drag a totem onto your actionbars
    - Frame positions saved in settings instead of cache only
    - Reenabled textures for warnings
    - Warnings now sent through LibSink
    - The range checker should consider buffs with the same effect as the active totem's buff
(e.g. a player with Horn of Winter buff is considered to be in range of Strength Totem)
    - Updated ruRU, koKR, and zhTW localization, thanks to StingerSoft, Sayclub, and a9012456
    - Removed TT-Macro, the new multicast spells do a better job
    - Removed "Recast last totem", totems are chosen by rightclick only (would be awkward to select a totem by casting it
when you're selecting it to be cast with other totems at once)

    Hi,

i have a small problem with TTs since i started playing wow again:

i remember being able to remove single totem (withdraw/destroy them, e.g. searing when damage stop is called for).

is this still possible? if yes, how can i do so? can i select a specific button to destroy them (e.g. rightclick)?

    Thanks a lot !

  • #1820

You can :) Right click on the totem buttons.

  • #1816

Conflicting with masque again with the latest update masque did.

  • #1815

My favourite addon ever, thank you so much for all your hard work on this.

Quick question though, I use the EnhanceCD option on all my three shaman specs (I am teh king of respeccing) and it's incredibly useful. Would it be possible for the restoration option to include Mana Tide Totem as well as Spiritlink Totem CDs?

Many thanks and keep up the good work!

  • #1814

9 likes (10 with me) for this fantastic shamman addon?! rly?

  • #1813

thanks for all the great work you do on this add-on. Laughing

    Hello !

Is there a way to copy the Totem-Config from one specialisation to another? When i change from elemental to heal tree, all Button positions are reseted. Didn't find a profil-setting yet.

    Any ideas?

    Thx :)

Totems still scale wrong when dropped when using masque, changing color in masque makes it look perfect again, but really annoying when default frame pops up over the masque border

For those of you having problems with the latest version of TT showing no bars and such, here is how you can debug the issue. It won't necessarily solve the issue (since you may not be able to live without TT and the other addon that form the lethal combo that kills TT), but at least you will know which combo kills TT and can make an educated decision from there.

For debug, I recommend downloading Addon Control Panel. This allows selective disabling of addons and provides a reloadUI button. Go into the game. Bring up the addon control panel. Disable EVERY addon except TT. Reload UI. You should see your TT bars come back. If you don't, stop debug because there must be something wrong with your TT install or some bad interface setting (which is in your WTF folder I think?).

Anyhow, assuming your TT bars came back, you can move through your complete list of addons and selectively enable one, reload, enable one, reload, and repeat until TT bars disappear. When that happens, your most recently loaded addon is likely the culprit. Disable all addons except the OffendingAddon and TT. Reload. Still no TT? Disable OffendingAddon. Reload. TT back? Congrats. You have proven which addon is incompatible with TT.

    Now POST IT HERE so.

For me, it was an ancient raid marking tool called QuickMark. There are some equivalents that I can use, but I don't REALLY need to mark things while being a healer and raid leader. I just make the tanks mark. When I tank, I don't have TT loaded, so no issue there, and I can use Quickmark.

I would love it if the author went and figured out why quickmark is incompatible. While quickmark is ancient and probably the real problem, it might prove possible to shield TT from other bad/ancient addons.

TT options still show up for me after installing Quickmark. Do you have the latest versions of both addons? The only thing I can come up with atm is that your Quickmark might be outdated, as both addons share some libraries.

  • #1807

I have same problem as DDimstar....when i expend totemtimers options in addons interface menu, all options of totemtimers are blank,so i cant change setup...can some1 tell me whats problem, and tell me what can i do about it???

That's more likely a bug in the 64 bit Mac client than in TotemTimers, since it works fine in Mac 32 bit and Windows both 32 and 64 bit.
