About UberInventory

UberInventory keeps track of where you have your items stored as well as how much cash you own, it even tracks the amount of cash attached to mails that you haven't collected yet (this is only done when visiting a mailbox).

The information that has been collected can be viewed anywhere within the game, so you never need to be at the bank or guildbank to be able to see what is stored there. What is even better if one or more guild members have UberInventory installed as well, you will receive the latest information of what is stored in the guildbank (and guild cash) after they have visited the guildbank.

Items that are not usable by the current character are marked red, just like is done on the Auction House. This makes it easy to see if items stored ate other characters or guild banks are of any use for your character.

Additionally vendor prices are added to tooltips (in bags, quest log, etc).

UberInventory support the following chat commands:

/ubi : open/close UberInventory dialog
/ubi { help | ? }: show this list of commands
/ubi <string>: search for items within your inventory
/ubi { remchar | remguild } <name>: Remove character or guildbank data
/ubi resetpos: Reset position of the main UberInventory frame

    Love this add-on.

    Have a small request.

would it be possible to be able to remove item count to to tool tip. and keep the this part...

    For recipe the following information is added to tooltips when available;
      - Which vendor sell the recipe and at what price
      - Which mob drops the recipe and what is the drop rate
      - From which quest can the recipe be obtained

I love to see where I can get the recipe. without see how many Items.

plz forgive the type and paste .. as I'm half asleep.. hate 3rd shift work!!

The ability to hide the item counts has been added to version 4.8 which should be available soon (currently pending approval).

One of the things I use this for is to find gear for people - what would really help out is a "gear finder" mode that would look for items that are not soul bound (even if they were originally BoE), and where I could enter a class and level and show me items that are usable (just based on armor type and weapon type and min level to use), preferably sorted in ilvl order.

I realize that might be a bit much, but anything that would help me find usable gear would be really helpful.

The other thing that would help with that is if the links created would be the specific item, not the generic (it shows in the inventory "xxx Helm of the Whale", but the tooltip and link are just "xxx Helm", without the stats. I don't know how hard that is to do, but it would be very useful to me.

    Thank you for listening!

UberInventory only stored the itemid. The type of information you are looking for is not stored by UberInventory. The AddOn was never intended to be used as a gear-tool.

The features you request are not easy to implement into the Addon in its current state. Filters for level and ilevel should be possible, but need to think about the UI for this. The UI is already cramped in its current version.

As always, thanks for the feedback!!

Tried to put in a ticket on curseforge, it hung up my browser...

One of my alts wasn't in a guild - joined a guild briefly to help someone out, then disbanded that guild.

The guild is still listed. That character has now joined the same guild several of my other characters are in, and the old guild still shows up (and yes, I've visited the current guild bank on that character). I'll probably go in and edit the variable file by hand to remove it, but thought you'd like to know about this.

This is really a great add-on, almost everything it does is exactly what I'd expect it to do. Only problem I had for a while was that mails on a character that were going to be bounced back to another one of my characters were being marked as "about to be lost" or "have been lost", but now it isn't doing that any more, I suspect because initially those mails hadn't been seen being sent, but now that I've had it a while everything that's bouncing back was initially sent with the add-on installed.

It would be nice if the lost-mail function could show me what I lost, but that's no big deal. Only other thing I can think of that would make life a bit easier is help me find the mail a particular item is in, but I can't think of a simple way of doing that, especially if there are multiple messages with that item in it.

    Thank you!

You can remove any unwanted guilds using the documented chat command
    /ubi { remchar | remguild } : Remove character or guildbank data

On the mail remarks I will have to think awhile. Mail is something that is not very well implemented in WoW itself. But I like the suggestions you have made. Thanks!!

    Documentation!? What's that?

Guess I should have looked further. Thanks!

Imagine my surprise when I finished typing the text. It just felt wrong, but couldn't get myself to delete it.... ;)
  • #132
    Some suggestions :)

    1. a Pop up when a new account is logged in (say a 2nd wow account) asking if you want the data shared across all acounts on this computer. One can always delete a mistake with the remchar command ;)

    .

    3. Wheel scrolling in the UBI pane, currently one has to navigate with scroll arrows.

Thank you for a great addon :)

Suggestions 1) and 2) are simply not possible. Data for other accounts is stored into a different folder. Within the game one can only access the data for the current used account. Without mucking about with files on disk (outside the game) sharing data is not possible.

For your third suggestion. Currently mouse wheel scrolling is not working as it should. I will work on this.

    Frank

Thanks for your reply, your addon is still my bread and butter

We asked the GMs to rename our guild. They did. Now Uberinventory shows the name of our new guild, but none of the items in it. I uninstalled and reinstalled UBI, but same issue. It only shows the new guildname, but shows no items from the guild bank. Anything you can do about that, I would greatly appreciate it.
  • #123
You have to visit the guildbank so UberInventory can collect the data necessary.
  • #125
I also noticed I get the message about updating guildbank data when another guildie using UBI goes to the guildbank, but she sees nothing in UBI for our guildbank either.
