About ArenaLive Spectator
Important: Normal UnitFrame Version
Because I got asked by many people to create a normal unitframe addon with the exact same design as ArenaLive, I decided to create an addon. You can find it here: http://www.curse.com/addons/wow/arenalive-unitframes
ArenaLive Spectator
ArenaLive Specatoator's use is it to enable people to organise WoW-Arena Tournaments in an easy manner and it tries to bring some kind of spectator mode into World of Warcraft.
IMPORTANT: Since the newest version of the addon disables the "Enter Match" button of the static popup, that shows up whenever an arena or battleground queue pops, for 1 minute and 15 seconds, make sure to disable ArenaLive first, before you queue for normal BGs and arenas. Otherwise it could prevent you from joining the matches.
Features:
- Scoreboard including a match timer with a changable timelimit and teamnames
- Unitframes including castbars, portrait overlays for defensive cooldowns and CC, trinket- and racial cooldown tracker and a casthistory with targetindicator ( the last actions of the unit are shown below the castbars. The border around these icons is colored in the class color of the actions' targets. Up to a maximum of 6 icons is shown simultaneously)
- Target and TargetofTarget frames
- Graphical Countdown
- Cooldown tracker for both teams
- Functions to hide standard UI's frames
- Whitelisted Buffs to only show important ones
- Tidyplates theme that is fitting in to the rest of the addons design (optional)
How to work with the Addon (3v3)
- Read the readme.htm inside the addon folder to set up the AddOn correctly
- Queue a 5vs5 Wargame
- Let the 6 players join and wait until the gates are open (this way players can still use their arena1,2,3 macros)
- Join the game
- Open the addOn menu with /al menu
- Insert the player names and realms into the respective textfields
- Let the enemy team kill you
- Hide Blizzard's standardUI and start the countdown
- Enjoy the match
What this AddOn is not
- ArenaLive isn't a real spectator mode, it is just a unitframeset that is designed like one.
- ArenaLive isn't designed for everyday arena usage, but for tournaments/wargames only.

- NEW: It is now possible to choose a "Displayed Name" for each player that will be shown instead of the character name. Currently works for the side frames, but not for target and target-of-target frames
- NEW: It is now possible to reset the matchtimer to 00:00 if needed via the chat command "/al resettimer"

- BUGFIX: Switched from battleground to raid chat for the chat countdown to reflect the new chat system Blizzard introduced with 5.1

- BUGFIX: Reduced the time the "Join Match" Button is disabled from 90 to 75 seconds, to make it available as soon as the arena gates open.

A small update to normal unit frame version of ArenaLive. I'm currently working on it, this is a first screenshot. So that you all know that I have not forgotten you. ;)

Menu is next on the list so I can upload a first beta with player and target frame some time in the next weeks for you guys.
I would very much like to ask a version of this as a unit frame replacement (like Xperl) for player, target, focus and party/5man-raid/arena frames. A simple replacement with the exact same layout as Livearena uses in terms of frame configuration.

Any ETA on "everydays arena" version?
Really love how it looks.
I'm currently working on a concept for it and really want to get it rolling, but I'm also still very busy at the moment and haven't had the time to write a single line of code so far. So I hope I'll have that time over the next few weeks, but I can't promise anything.
what unit frames addon is that?
The unitframes are part of ArenaLive itself.
Does this only work in the Arena tourny ?
Can I use it for regular Arenas????
I don't recommend using the addon in everyday arena, since it is designed for premade wargames and tournaments only. But there will be normal unitframes styled like those in ArenaLive in the future, just need the time to actually code them.
Possibly the first step to the World of Warcraft spectator client. Love this addon.
