    This outdated addon freezes my pc randomly in game.

  • #58

    If by "outdated" you mean "that the author hasn't bumped the Interface version for", you'd be right. As for the freezing issue, that isn't possible; Volumizer does nothing on its own - it responds to actions done on its buttons and sliders and nothing more.

    I'm getting an error similar to the others. It appears to be some sort of taint issue? If I had my main PC, I would likely try to track it down. It does seem odd that Volumizer is the only addon affected by this.

    I'm getting this error:

    84x [ADDON_ACTION_BLOCKED] AddOn "Volumizer" tried to call the protected function "CompactRaidFrame1:Show()".
    !BugGrabber-r188\BugGrabber.lua:587: in function <!BugGrabber\BugGrabber.lua:587>

    I get this all the time with Mapster. If I were to disable it, a different AddOn would be blamed. Taint issues are out of control with WoW 5.x unfortunately :/

    Unfortunately, it seems that this addon is broken with the new expansion, and no one seems to be updating it.

  • #52

    Broken how? I'm using it without issue.

    It's definitely strange, I can't find CompactRaidFrame... in code of Volumizer, but it throws errors like people wrote about, regularly.:(

  • #54

    Getting the exact same thing, usually when in combat and / or grouped

  • #53

    It works per say,

    However in certain circumstances (usually grouped etc) it throws up alot of errors with the compactraidframe

    For example;

    [ADDON_ACTION_BLOCKED] AddOn "Volumizer" tried to call the protected function "CompactRaidFrame12:Show()".

    As of patch 5.0.4:

    2x [ADDON_ACTION_BLOCKED] AddOn "Volumizer" tried to call the protected function "CompactRaidFrame1:Show()". !BugGrabber-r188\BugGrabber.lua:587: in function <!BugGrabber\BugGrabber.lua:587> <in C code> FrameXML\CompactUnitFrame.lua:276: in function "CompactUnitFrame_UpdateVisible" FrameXML\CompactUnitFrame.lua:234: in function "CompactUnitFrame_UpdateAll" FrameXML\CompactUnitFrame.lua:96: in function <FrameXML\CompactUnitFrame.lua:43>

    Presets dont work properly at all. At times, the volume setting changes, but the others, and specifically the Game Sound Output never changes with the preset.

  • #50

    The presets work for me, but any time I change form they go back to ZOMG LOUD!, and being a druid, changing forms is kind of my thing... I've got two presets, 50% volume which is my normal running around by myself setting, and 20% for raids and such so I can hear vent and so on. Either of them I choose work normally, up until I switch forms, reload the UI or log in/out.

    Surprising how much you miss the little things when they're not working right. :P

    Edit: Figured out the problem in my case. It was Fisherman's Friend deciding that I was always about to start fishing, so every time anything changed (load in through a raid/dungeon portal, change forms, reload UI to debugger a different mod) it set the volume back to maximum. Volumizer itself is working fine for me.

    I can't seem to switch between presets when I open the preset menu and click on the presets I've saved. The sliders and options just don't change at all.

    Since 4.2 I'm getting a strange bug with Volumizer: if the addon is enabled, I cannot place raid flares. When I try I'm prompted to disable Volumizer and reloadui. After doing so raid flares work.

    Hmm. I'll look into that - seems that changed something to make the default UI a bit more fragile :(
