What is VuhDo? – VuhDo is a raid monitor similar to CTRaidAssist or Blizzards built-in raid frames. Basically this is about displaying the health of raid members in form of clearly arranged bars. VuhDo is primarily directed to healing classes, but will make use to almost any other class. Moreover several healing spells or other actions can be asserted to mouse clicks on those bars (Click-Heal).

What VuhDo can do:
1. Display all relevant informations about your raid members
- Life,
- Mana, other types of power
- Debuffs
- Range
- Incoming Heal
- Aggro
- Threat
- HoTs
- Charmed status
- PvP status
- Tooltips (for race, class, level and current location)
- Player Tags (such as afk, disconnected, dead)
- Shields

2. Casting
- You can heal, decurse, target, assist or focus raid memers with just one click
- You can bind any usable item and any macro to mouse clicks
- You can assign up to 40 mouse click combinations to cast on raid members
- You can assign up to 16 keys to cast when mouse over
- You can automatically fire your trinkets and instant casts whenever cooldown is over
- You can automatically resurrect and decurse players out of combat

3. Set up the raid
- manage main tanks (CTRA/ORA compatible) and personally selected players.
- Setup who is raid lead, assistant and master looter
- Check who is one of the above

4. Buffing
- You can easily keep track of all of your buffs
- You can rebuff automatically chosing the most suitable spell and target
- You can smart buff your raid automatically selecting missing buffs

Special Features:
- Up to 10 independent raid member panels
- Completely free arrangement of raid members: You can move any group to any position in any panel:
You can select to see your groups by class, group number role or any combination.
Easy group arrangement via Drag’n’Drop.
You can additionally setup to display Pets, Vehicles, Main Tanks, private Tanks.
A panel setup wizard lets you setup most common settings with a few clicks
- You can store different skins and arrangements of panels separately
Supported standards / Compatibility:
- CTRA/oRA: Main Tank setup / resurrection monitor
- libSharedMedia: Fonts, Statusbar textures
- Masque
- Clique

Honorable mention:
2014-04-25: I (Iza) am sorry to announce that I'm not
going to further develop or maintain VuhDo anymore.

I haven't been actively playing wow for some years
now and lately - as you might have noticed -
my efforts (and also interest) in maintaining and
developing WoW addons tends to zero, so I'll be
gone for good I guess.

Thanks to a fine community for the great times
and for sharing all the uncounted ideas and suggestions
which finally have made VuhDo what I believe is a decent
addon.

All the best to you & keep it going,
Iza

    Re: VuhDo vs disc priest

On my disc priest i use

left click macro to flash heal -

    /cast Inner Focus
    /cast [@mouseover, help] Flash Heal

    right click macro -

    /cast Inner Focus
    /cast [@mouseover, help] Greater Heal

    Hostile left click macro -

    /cast Archangel
    /cast [@mouseover, harm] Holy Fire

Hostile right click macro - /use [@mouseover,harm] smite

The problem I have is using Private Tank Panel to heal. I found this site - http://vuhdoguide.blogspot.com.au/2011/08/frequently-asked-questions_18.html

    and have tried the macro

    /cast [@mouseover, help] Heal Spell
    /cast [@mouseover, harm] Harm Spell

Which works, however, I want to use 'inner focus' to heal but not on hostile targets. Is there a way to use Private Tanks panel to heal without messing up my healing macro, and hostile macro not messing up my healing set-up.

I am using version 3.38 vuhdo with naga mouse.

    Thanks.

  • #13820

    Hmm try this

    /cast [@mouseover,help] Inner Focus
    /cast [@mouseover,harm] Archangel
    /cast [@mouseover,harm] Holy Fire; [@mouseover,help] Flash Heal
    /run UIErrorsFrame:Clear()

and let me know if it actually casts IF/Arch depending on what kind of mouseover you have. Technically that should not be possible but because they're self targetted spells anyway it might.

  • #13822

For the target panel, it can be hostile or friendly, depending on what you're targetting. If in Options-Spells-Mouse or Options-Spells-Hostile you're using a macro, you're gonna run into the issue you ran into already. Heal/harm macro has to be used, even if under friendly assignment for a button you have a spell and only for a hostile assignment for that button you have a macro. Vuhdo attempts to assemble a macro for you out of spells. If you're using macro too, it gets confused so you need your own heal/harm macro.

You also mentioned trinkets. Sometimes trinkets do not like to be autotriggered. So if you checked trinket autotriggering in Options-Spells-Misc, I'd uncheck it cause it can interfere with triggering hostile spells. For sorting change mid combat, after you exit combat it'll reset. But mid combat there's pretty much nothing you can do. Blizz locks frames mid combat against any sort of sorting to prevent exploits.

  • #13821

Thanks for the reply Discobob :)

Awesome macro works perfectly so far, will test it out today in ToT LFR.

    I changed your macro for smite;

    /cast [@mouseover,help] Inner Focus
    /cast [@mouseover,harm] Smite; [@mouseover,help] Greater Heal
    /run UIErrorsFrame:Clear()

    Thank you so much.

Just wondering why target panel would be considered a 'hostile' panel instead of main heal panel?

Not that it matters now since your macro has fixed the issue I had.

2 other quick questions. Sometimes on my Holy Pally when I go to use hostile target denounce will not work until I use an instant OR use another persons 'target'. It's not a huge issue, just a little frustrating.

The most annoying thing though is when in combat and someone leaves / joins the raid the tanks will move even though in - Options / panels / general - sort by..I have it set up for - tank => healer => dd.

Again this is not a huge issue since our main raid is stable, it's only pugs that is a small issue.

Thanks for everything guys, you rock!

  • #13817

What version are you currently using? Try moving the groups right into a new panel or exactly between two existing groups or in front of first group etc. You will see a blue / yellow line between the existing groups if VuhDo finds a grood target location for the group und your mouse pointer.

  • #13816

When I go to the Move tab and try to drag a group it just bounces back to where it was.  Any suggestions?

  • #13812

Another question: I don't like debuff shows on panal, but even tho i disable all the defuff setting, there are still some raid defbuff shows at the top line of the grid. I wonder where should I check all debuff setting out to disable them?

  • #13814

    Options-Debuffs-Standard, uncheck Icon

Optinos-Debuffs-Custom, on the left side (where it says All Debuffs), uncheck Icon. Hit Ok.

One upgrade that would be very useful would be the addition of enemy raidframes.

By this, I mean that in boss fights, there should be a frame specifically for the boss - but on top of that, for fights that involve multiple bosses (Horridon, Council, Twin Consorts), the boss frame should expand into what is essentially a second raid frame that holds only hostile entities, but allows interaction as with any other hostile in your target frames. The frame would also show when the boss has bufffs or stacks that need to be monitored, as well as the boss's % health.

As for adds, there could be another "raidframe" for adds during boss encounters, which expands upon the introduction of additional non-boss enemies during combat (which would make this frame useful for any situation outside boss encounters where you would find multi-dotting useful). This frame might also remove any enemy from the frame whose health as reached 0%.

Using the Horridon encounter as an example, the frames would react something like this:

Upon initiation, Horridon appears in the "Boss" frame. As soon as the first door opens and the first troll exits, the troll and its pet appear in the "Enemy" frame. As the troll forces from the fourth door engage the raiders, War God Jalak jumps down into the arena to join the fight. As he is a very powerful enemy, he would appear in the "Boss" frame.

This setup would make tracking specific enemies, as well as multi-dotting and rapid target switching for casters significantly easier. Granted, there is the possibility of screen clutter overwhelming the display. This could also act as a replacement for the current target frame expansion for the standard party /raid frame. (Of course, the focus/target frame could remain intact, as some people may prefer that.) Also has great potential for PvP. :)

Could also work as an option for the frame type when creating custom frames.

When someone joins a raid, they get a raidID allowing us to tabulate them and refer to them within the api. Mobs do not have that and this is done on purpose. Blizz does not want enemy frames or they would have included support for it long ago.

They at some point included support for bosses, giving the bossIDs now known as boss frames. These are available in default interface as well as most unitframe mods if you want to customize how they look. They included similar idea into arenas, because these are very limited number of target encounters and so enemy arena players will have IDs of arena1-5. If you want customization of arena frames I recommend a unitframe mod, something like GladiusEx.

PvP in BGs is a little different because of the scoreboard. That's a record of everyone as an enemy in a BG given to us by blizz, allowing you to make a table. It does not have the capabilities of a regular raidframe because blizz didn't give us those functions and enemy players do not have some sort of BGid but it can be somewhat approximated in some ways because of this existing list. Because it's an approximation of the functions that regular raidframes have, it's very cpu heavy as you're estimating and extrapolating things rather than having direct queries for the info so beware it's not going to be light on your computer nor will it ever be able to do everything a regular raidframe does. I really need help!

I'm using Vuhdo as a MW monk, i set up right click to Renewing Mist, but what hapend is it just cast Renewing Mist on that player but can't stay targeting him. I think I need to make a macro to achieve this function, which make it stay targeting at the player. But how to make it??? I has been trying it for an hour!! Or is there a same way i can do in vuhdo??

I guess options=>spells=>misc "target" does what you need?

I'm not able to pinpoint the problem, but after most every reload or closing of WoW and logging back in my VuhDo seems to forget its position.  Even after setting /vd lock -- The position just never sticks.  I am also a LUI user which does a heavy modification of my UI, but these two used to play very well with each other until the last major VD update.  Anyone else experiencing this problem?  I'm also talking to the LUI guys just incase they changed something with scaling, etc.
