About WebDKP

WebDKP is an addon that allows guild leaders to easily manage the DKP for their guild. It works with a companion website [http://www.webdkp.com] where guild leaders can upload and display their guilds DKP for free. As of version 3.1 you can track raid attendance. Check the screen shots for a visual on raid attendance tracking.

The system was made to be easy to work with. In game guild leaders have access to their DKP and can easily record awards and view changes. Then, with a press of a button all this information from the addon is put online for all your guild members to see. You can then update or tweak the information via the website and view your changes back in game.

Please report any LUA errors or issues. I'm sure there will be some with the 4.3 patch.

General Description of WebDKP:

WebDKP is an in game addon that allows you to award and keep track of Dragon Kill Points (DKP). Currently WebDKP supports several different styles of DKP awarding systems. WebDKP only requires one person to keep track of DKP. With the release of 3.1 you can now track raid attendance in game. The version of the addon on the official www.webdkp.com website is version 2.9H. Unfortunately I do not have access to this site so wont be able to update it and the version I post will only be available on curse.com at this point.

    WebDKP java sync client

    Hi,

    the tutorial mentions a java synch client that can be used by Mac people, but I do not see any java file after installing the add-on...?

    Is there a way similar to the synch exe utility for Mac OS users?

    Hey there

    Something i can't manage to find out is

    Are we able to sync our dkp list with other players in the guild that have the add-on ?

    becouse i just can't get it to work

    Have been going over this for 3 houres now and it does whisper

     

    [19:17:42] [W From] [85:*****:1]: !Synch

     

    But that's all it does

    The dkp numbers won't adjust themself

    Could you pls Explain to me how i get this to work

    Hi Zevious,

    I have a small issue that some of my guildies are a bit stupid and can't read the message that is posted when a bid is started. So I wonder, as this appears to be the only addon kept up to date for DKP, is there plans in the future for a slave addon where you can bid through a clickable GUI?

    Also, WebDKP recently hasn't been awarding DKP on Boss Kills everytime, only sometimes.

    Hey Leanden, someone had created a "slave" addon but I don't believe it was updated. It's this one:

    You can check with the author and see if he could update it if it doesn't work.
    As for not awarding on boss kills everytime. Is it the same boss or certain ones that it doesn't work? Currently, there is no support on cataclysm bosses (Im working on it).

    The addon acting wierd since last patch 4.2.2. We run bidding rolls on loot with fixed prices like and commands !main !off, but whenever we award someone the message in raid chat is totally different saying someone else is the winner.Can you help me with this one zev?

    Found the problem.Basicly if you press Stop Bidding on the bidding screen before you press the award item it will choose random person and will announce him in raid chat,but if you press the award the item button first without stoping the bidding it work just fine.Maybe take a look cos I issume other ppls will have the same problem and will wonder whats going wrong.Also will you update the toc any soon cos wow read the addon as out of date atm, thx.

    Try going into the bidding options and enable silent bidding.

    Im not sure if this is due to bad setup. Or maybe im missing an option that someone can tell me about. But whenever i award loot, every member of my raid group is asked how much DKP to award to that player. Why is everyone being treated as the RL instead of just the Raid Leader?

    Only the raid leader needs WebDKP installed. No one else should have it installed unless they are an officer helping keep track or something. If you are the only one with it installed, it must be corrupt or something so make sure to delete the whole folder and install again manually.
