About Whammy

Whammy is an add-on to WoW that lets players point and click Buff, Heal, Decurse, run Macros and more. All functions are mapped to mouse clicks and can be fully customized.

Whammy alerts you when another player needs decursing or dispelling both visually and audibly. It also has a health status for members of your party or raid and will notify you of low health situations.

Whammy also has a group status window, showing total health and mana of the group or raid.

Please contact me with bug reports or suggestions. Thanks!

2.4 11/30/11
- Updated for WoW 4.3
- Fixed crash that would occur when clicking in the status window
- Making the Whammy frame movable/locked is now SHIFT + Right click in the top of the Whammy frame (it used to just be a right click only)

    Hey hey Whammy gods.

Could you please work you whammy magic and make this add on work with the new patch. This is the best healing add on, no the best add on full stop, in the game. I have used it since it was first made and it gets better and better with each edition.

I've been using Whammy with Korea localization text added to the local file in Whammy.
It worked perfectly well with Korean version of WOW client, until I updated to Whammy 2.0.7b and WOW client to 3.3.3.

I have added Korean localization into the 2.0.7b's local file as I did for previous versions, but all the text in Whammy's interface except character names on the buttons are shown blank. (Saved in UTF-8 encoding)
Also there are 2 error messages keep showing as well.

All the settings still can be set, but without any text showing it is quite annoying.

I have seen this problem in some of previous minor update of Whammy.

I will report the error messages as soon as copy them to my notepad.

Thank you for your great work and hope you to keep this greatest healer's add-on updated.

I'm glad this is being updated again. Nice, lightweight simple mod that functions extremely well. :)

Still giving pet buttons some thought.
  • #69
I am a priest and I use whammy for healing. It allows me to quickly pick out who's injured and what spell (power/type) I want to use to heal them. This is where the pet buttons are invaluable. I don't keep the normal heal buttons mapped on the keyboard, that's for utility spells. So in instances I'm not keeping up with pets as well as I'd like.
  • #70
BTW, I really love this add-on and would like to thank you for continuing to work on it!
  • #68
The issue with adding pet buttons (back in) is there isn't really anywhere to put them, while maintaining the small size of Whammy. I have several requests for that feature so let me give it some thought.
  • #67
Any plans to add Pet buttons back?
  • #66
You can also open the Whammy configuration and click the Defaults button. That will clear out everything and should take care of the issue.
