About WhoHas
WhoHas modifies every tooltip in the game to show which of your characters have the item in the tooltip, and where. This works in your inventory, at the auction house, on chat links, and even in trade skill windows. The tooltip will show how many of the item each of your characters have, and where - in their inventory, in the bank, equipped, or even in their inbox. This can be useful for managing your overall inventory, or for finding out who has the items you need for crafting.
WhoHas requires a separate addon to track all of your personal items. WhoHas currently supports:
- Altoholic - New!
- Armory - Now fixed!
- Possessions 4.2 with Void Storage
WhoHas will auto-select the best backend to use based on the inventory addons you have enabled. It will search for addons in the order shown above. I may be able to add support for other inventory addons on request.
WhoHas supports English and is partially translated into German and French, thanks to the efforts of Pelion, and more recently, TorenAltair. If you would like to help finish the German and French translations, please let me know.
To prevent WhoHas from showing tooltips for specific items, enter "/whohas ignore ITEM NAME" in chat, where ITEM NAME is the item you don't want WhoHas tooltips for. You can also type "/whohas ignore " (make sure to include the space at the end) and then shift-click on the item you want to ignore to fill in its name.

- Completely rewrote the Armory scanner. WhoHas should now support future versions of Armory better.

Everything seems to be working fine now with WhoHas 2.4.0 and WoW 2.4.1. Thank you, Gruma!
Any chance WhoHas could use data from the Armory addon? I find myself really digging it, the dev is on top of things, and I want to drop the redundant CharacterProfiler since we don't use our old web roster anymore (and it often lags). Neither version of Possessions seems to have been updated since 2.4.0. I don't know if Armory even provides usable data to other addons, just throwing the idea out there.
I deleted my post when I realized that I needed Siz's Possesions lol. Maybe if I actually read the summary first time I wouldn't have been lost lol. This addon is awesome!! I've been looking for something like this for a long time. Thanks for the quick response too!!
I got tired of looking, so I wrote one myself. :)
You'll also need one of the three other addons I mention in the summary above. I recommend Siz's Possessions, though I'm also working on Armory support for KernelG. (Search for Armory on Curse.) The reason I didn't include inventory in WhoHas itself is because, for one, these other addons already do that (that's all Possessions does, in fact), and for two, many people are already using those addons, so duplicating all of that in WhoHas would waste your PC's memory and CPU unnecessarily. The reason I *did* include Guild Bank support is because some of those addons were slow to add it themselves, and some still don't have it.
Let me know if that seems unreasonable to you.
Sure, I suspect that will be pretty easy, too.
Hi,
Would you be willing to add support for LinkWrangler tooltips please?
I had a request from one of our mutual users to get the two working together; it looks to be fairly easy to do.
Thanks :)
Thanks
Any queries, I'll do my best to help :)
Hmmm, the comment section is a little weird today...
Sure, I'll take a look at LinkWrangler. I bet it will be pretty easy too.
Yeah, I know about the three files. That's because I uploaded it three times. The new curseforge.com site that is handling uploads is pretty, but its functionality blows. I never could tell whether I had uploaded a file, even hours later.
I didn't know it had changed the file names. That really sucks. (I noticed this in another project a couple months ago.) I don't think there's much I can do about that.
Thanks for calling my attention to the problems.
You probably know this already Gruma, but there are three separate WhoHas 2.4.1 links in the Downloads section above. The actual downloads appear to be identical in content.
And the downloads themselves are named with long strings of alpha-numeric characters. The one at the top of the list above comes as "da3eb5b9f9c8970e8c0f1997e8ab32aa .zip". Its a Curse issue (not yours) as I have seen a couple other ZIPs here in the past day named in such a format.
Thanks for looking at it. :)
I can live without an icon, but not without WhoHas and Siz's Possessions, so no big deal really. :P
I just wanted to point that out and gave both a note.
Hmm, ok. The Tipachu icon is probably throwing things off. I'll see what I can do.
When i have Tipachu (http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info8808-Tipachu.html) enabled, WhoHas doesn't display its info anymore.
I could have sworn WhoHas worked with Baggins_AnywhereBags already. But then I try so many bag mods... I'll take a look at it.
My girlfriend uses Baggins_AnywhereBags to track items, but it doesn't have the ability to show the info in item tooltips. WhoHas would make a great companion addon if it were able to query Baggins_AnywhereBags the way it can Possessions.
Thank you for at least considering it!
:-)
