Any word on this?  I keep getting them and I am definitely set to use the release version of the addon.

  • #72

This may be because I am running AutoQuest2, whcih ends up completing the quest immediately.  This code needs to add a check that "quest" is not nil before referencing it.  Or just add the "if not quest" lines from the function below this.

You're using alpha versions. Right-click the AddOn in your list from the Curse Client and set its release stage to Release. Only internal testers should be using the Alphas, as they may break things.

Could this addon possibly get a free pass and auto update in the Curse client even if you don't have Premium?

  • #65

I'm with you.  I am ready to uninstall this add-on.  I don't mind helping out but manually updating this add-on EVERY day (sometimes twice a day) is getting annoying...

  • #67

Are you both using the alpha version of the addon? The client already should automatically update the addon to the release version, no matter what.

Does this AddOn track the names and locations for dig sites? I realize a manual data push is required on WoWDB, just as people need to manually edit WoWPedia, but I'm curious because every now and then I search WoWHead, WoWDB, and WoWPedia for "digsite" and only WP has data (missing Mantid, but that's new).

Kinda sorta. We track the locations where you dig up artifacts, but not the blob map regions. See: http://www.wowdb.com/objects/218950-mantid-archaeology-find#mapper:5842:0

That's what I thought, Chaud, and thank you for the reply.

I have been trying to delete this from my addons, because I don't use it, and I don't like addons taking up more memory than they have to. Every time I delete it, it comes right back. How the Hell do I get rid of this stupid thing?!

  • #60

Uncheck it in the Curse Client options.

(It isn't likely impacting your performance)

  • #54

Why does this addon try to reinstall itself, i've delete it 8 times this week and still i get an " update me" in the curse client window. What are you?, malware?.

  • #55

    Just deactivate WoWDB Profiler:

    Tools > Options > Plugins

and uncheck "When I play World of Warcraft, upload game data to WoWDB".
